And/or have funny (aka incorrect) ideas about what causes diabetes and high cholesterol. And/or didn't understand when people mentioned eating healthy, nutritious foods - especially in the OP, which would indicate that not much (if any) additional discussion is required. Even though it was present.

So, you didn't actually read the thread. That explains things.

I'd suggest either working with a trainer/coach to meet your goals and/or following a tried-and-true strength program, such as one found here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1 The program will tell you how and when to advance/progress.

health != weight management performance != weight management health != performance

No, that's incorrect. Calories are technically measurements of heat energy - not internal energy. There are subtle, yet important distinctions between the two - the largest that Calories are not necessarily internal to a unit. Of course, while they are technically heat energy, it is acceptable - although not always/often…

It took me a couple of months of focused training of sumo deadlift before I was able to match my conventional best. The two lifts are similar, but they're also quite a bit different. Keep training sumo, and you'll likely get there.

In general, imbalances can be fixed (or at least minimized) by the following: Isolateral exercises (dumbbells, cables, anything that requires both sides to work individually) - so no barbells or machines where there's only one handle (or two handles that are connected) that requires both sides; Same weight/sets/reps for…

Except you don't get extra credit when your answer(s) is/are wrong. And you keep talking about excess urination, but then say to drink water. Which, as you acknowledged previously, makes you urinate more. It's ok to admit you don't know something. It's often the first step in learning.
-
Guess what? Water is a diuretic.

Rarely. I get fatigued, and a little sore, but rarely "beat up." If you're constantly feeling "beat up," that indicates to me that you're not recovering well. In which case, dialing it back some would probably do you well.

Essentially the empty bar. Maybe as much as 135 (less, if you have bumper plates) on deadlift. Work up from there. Depending on what type of program you're attempting to follow, you'll have to decide what sort of rep range you want to use while working up.

I really want to see people try to tell Eddie Hall, Hafnor Bjornsson, and a few others that they don't actually deadlift.

Hmmm... Nope.

April 1st was yesterday.

What that is is setting the deficit to 500 (per your example), burning a hundred (or whatever number) extra Calories, and then eating those hundred Calories so your deficit is still 500. Also, skinny fat may or may not be due to under eating. It's often because there's no solid resistance/strength training plan in place,…

The two bolded bits are at complete odds with each other.

Shocked that at page 9, there's no "I Touch Myself." Unless I just missed it...

We are allowed to plug our own music into the sound system. So - if others are there, it's a rock/metal only mix: Disturbed Coroner Dream Theater Judas Priest Fates Warning Meytal Thin Lizzy Queensryche Black Sabbath and others. If I'm alone, or if I have to put my earbuds in due to horrendous (IMO) music: The above, but…

Think of a horse. Now think of the mess the horse leaves behind when it's finished digesting and processing its food. That's Herbalife.

It's not that they're necessarily trying to replicate real-world scenarios. Rather, it's an attempt to figure out what really does what. Sometimes, it's an attempt to figure out what doesn't do what. Then further tests - maybe actual studies, but not necessarily - attempt to put previous results together to see what works…

Yes - that was complete utter nonsense.

Definitely no the the first - unless it contains enough carbs to kick you out. Possibly, but unlikely, to the second.

In a word, yes.

TIL: Two (three, in a way) = many. The only things I don't put in my homemade fries from that list is citric acid and sodium acid pyroposphate. Potatoes? Duh. Vegetable oil? Well, yeah. Salt? Another duh. And I don't use dextrose - I use table sugar, aka sucrose. Additionally, I sometimes add beef bouillon.

It might surprise you, but this is often categorically false. Here is an anecdotal piece where the person claims that he suffered no drop in gym performance - possibly even had better performance than usual - while eating nothing but fast food (simply as an experiment) for a month -…
