I started back on 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels. Got hurt a little bit at work and didn't want to do too much but I really enjoy doing that work out. And it was better than some of the others I have for my hip and knee

My goal is to lose another 2 lbs by new years then my long term goal is to lose 40 lbs by next Christmas. I am also a pear shape and hold all my weight in my hips and thighs. :frown: But I want to tone as I'm losing inches too so hopefully when I lose all the fat I wont have a lot of yucky skin flapping around.

You might also check out Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It's really hard at first but after the first week you can feel your stamina picking up.

YouTube is a great place to get videos. I like the Fitness Bender. They are super easy to follow and have a wide variety of work outs to choose from. :) They are the ones I'm doing. But don't give up. Even if you are struggling with them keep going you'll get it. If it hurts then it's working. :wink:

Hey everyone. I never have liked going to a gym. I don't like other people watching me (even tho I know they are paying attention to what they are doing and not me. I have a Chiweeniepin. It's part Chihuahua, dachshund, and Min Pin. He's all ears. He's only about 10 lbs and is sweet to us but does NOT like anyone one else coming near our house let alone coming in. ;-)

It's a little complicated and it might change due to the amount of weights you are using and the intensity of the work out you are doing. I did day 2 yesterday and I measured myself today cause I could already feel like I had some results and sure enough I did. I lost another .6 lbs. I am SO glad I started this work out! I feel totally exhausted but also energized after I finish! It's been really great! Granted I'm only on Day 2 of Level 1 but I am loving it.

Yeah you might want to pick up some 2 or 3 lbs dumb bells to start with. I have the 2 lbs and it burned my arms. I figure I'll move up eventually but starting out with the lower for now

YouTube has a "Be Fit" channel too with all kinds of work outs.....even 10 minute cardio and yoga. Also check out the Biggest Loser's Boot Camp DVD. I have it and loved it when I did it in the past. Bob is the trainer in that one. I am thinking about doing 30 day one day and the next boot camp.

I personally find it easier to have the treadmill. I don't have a lot of time to go to gym cause I work 10 hour days and have a husband and kid I have to take care of too so it's just easier to stay home and do my work outs.

I know it will take time and a lot of work but I want to be able to tone the thighs as I lose so I won't have so much lose skin. I don't have access to a pool or to a gym (can't afford membership) I do have a treadmill that I use frequently. Do you think Pilates helps any?
