Protein Pancake: Whisk together 3/4 cup egg whites, 28 grams of plain oatmeal, 8g of whey protein powder 1/8 cup water, ¼ tsp vanilla extract, cinnamon, let sit for about 5 mins. Fry in pam-sprayed frying pan like a pancake. Cut into wedges & enjoy! I will sometimes use 1/3 of a cup of rogers 7 grain oatmeal and I will…

yeah I didn't think it would make a difference just wanted to see how people responded lol.

Results have been good but not great, I find if your family isn't on the program with you Low Carb days are extremely tough. The program is easy to follow once you know how YOU want to do it, or approach it. Chris Powell doesn't give you structure in a sense of how many g of carbs is considered a low carb day vs a high…

Sounds amazing!! I would have to pick a different veggie. I love asparagus but my body doesn't agree with it.

That's awesome!!! Congrats =) I sometimes forget that inches is what really matters, weight fluctuates all the time on the scale. Looking back at before photos or trying clothes on again like what you did. Great job!

Protein/whey powder is hard when it comes to adding it to heat cause like you said it tends to get goopy. With oatmeal could you have a small glass of a protein shake? or sprinkle a bit on top of your oatmeal or make a protein pancake? If I add it to my oatmeal I will usually add some fruit to mask the goopyness of the…

That's awesome! I'm glad Slingshot worked for you =)

I would just figure out on MFP what your carb count or fat count would be afterwards. Seems like a healthy enough snack and if it helps your hypoglycemic than all power to you, just might have to compromise your numbers in other meals to get what you consider to be your aim for carb count and fat count. Example: LC day I…

I use an ultrameal bar if I have to or if I'm hiking for the day and can't bring food. I get them from my naturopathic doctor, I tend to be like Pandorian I try to just add whey protein to baking and stuff or have more greek yogurt. I would definitely read the labels of all, sometimes Costco will have samples of different…

LC days i try to be under 100g,

I don't think it is that big of a deal as long as you are alternating throughout the week. I have my two HC days on Thursdays and Fridays because on Thursdays I cater with my mom and always have a high carb day, and Fridays are girls night. I decided that if I am going to be successful and have this as a lifestyle change…

Sounds delish!

welcome to the group!

Wow thanks for sharing your story, I am looking forward to seeing more of your journey. Very inspirational.

Welcome to the group.. Kinda quiet but everyone is very supportive which is awesome.

Glad you have enjoyed 30DS I had a hard time sticking to 10 days of the same level and had to alternate it up a bit. Where do you like to go walking? I'm sure I can figure something out , meet you somewhere someday.

I think you can find healthy options at almost any restaurant in our city. The ones I would avoid would be Olive Garden and Red Lobster, I tend to think of where I want to go and then look up the nutritional information on their website. Or you can modify your order so it is healthy.

Welcome to the group! It is kind of a quiet group, more than I would like for it to be. I am on the south side of Edmonton but would love to work on the C25k, but haven't been able to find someone that would like to do it in the river valley or anywhere. I am self conscious so trying to also over come that by running…

I honestly think that if you are used to 6 small meals than go for it. The key is to eat every 3 hours and if you are having a late night you can fit in that 6th meal. (try not to eat 3-4hrs before bed) I feel guilty about not following Chris's program to a tee but at the same time I also know that if I were to follow it…

I have noticed that I have more energy when I follow the program. The things I find challenging are: The shapers in the morning and exercising in the morning in general. I tend to exercise at no specific time of day it's when I can exercise, I have days where I have 2 fitness classes on the same day, another where I spin…

Awesome job! I am almost finished my first sling shot week and I'm scared that I will not have lost anything.
-
I usually just judge by how I feel and about how much exercise I've done. I find MFP tends to over estimate the calories burned so usually only try to eat 1/4-1/2 of what the numbers are, but only if I'm hungry. Usually Low Carb days I will eat some exercise calories back, high carb I will try to just maybe have a bit of…

I have folk fest this weekend. Out on a hill listening to music all weekend, we are allowed to bring our own food but I know I will be having some food there as well and probably a beer or two with friends and family. I'm hoping after this week 4 that my 2nd month I'm stricter and make better choices ( i think my boyfriend…

I am noticing a difference as well. Although this is my slingshot week now and I'm a little worried. Awesome job Sweetsys!

I personally can not work out if I haven't eaten first. I usually follow the eat after 30 min of waking and then work out afterwards (30-60min after) I think it really just depends on the person and preference.

Welcome to the group=)

I think sling shot week is a great idea especially for those like me who love carbs. I just wouldn't go crazy on carbs, take it slow have the one carb thing that your craving the most without any guilt and go from there. I have 3 more days until I hit sling shot week and I will give it a try, just keep in mind to always…

Not sure how to describe it. I do not eat a lot of healthy fats which are supposed to replace the portion of Carbs on low carb days. So due to the fact that I'm struggling on the fat intake my macronutrients always seem to make my low carb day appear to be a high carb day. Does that help? If not don't worry about it lol.
