  • okay, so looking...you aren't eating any junk. What you put in is quality (which in my opinion is better than quantity). My understanding is you want to try and eat at least 1200. You're usually falling just a little short of that. I don't know the exact science behind it, but everything I have researched and read has said…
  • I have a digital scale. My old one kept doing that, so I got a new one. My old one was a few years old. My new one give the same weight twice in a row within a minute. You may need a new scale...or it might need new batteries!
  • First I see what it will do to my diary when I log it. If it's going to kill my day I just walk away. If it's the end of my day, and I crave something I try and distract myself. Normally if I can white knuckle it, the urge will go away. It's just a mind of matter thing I think sometimes. Not to say having a splurge here…
  • There's a saying that goes something like, "you've gone farther than the person still sitting on the couch". It takes determination. I've had some white knuckle days where it was hard to turn away from the cookies. I've had days where I dragged myself to the gym even though I really just wanted to lay in bed. You just have…
  • Well, a few things... First...eating more than a 1000cals is sound advice. I started at 323 and I'm currently at 289. I started Jan. 7th of this year. That's right, 32 pounds. I eat 1500-1800 calories a day and I work out 5-6 days a week. I do cardio every day and every other day strength training. Second, even doing…
  • I make time at night, after my son has gone to sleep. If I can I go to the gym...if now I have some home workout DVD's I can do. That would be my suggestion!
  • Such an inspiration!! Awesome job!!
  • I'm not in the UK, but I will be more than happy to be some support! I have some serious weight to lose, so I won't be going anywhere any time soon!
  • Before I had my first baby, I just walked and watched what I ate and lost 60 pounds. It's possible, just takes longer :)
  • I think you already look great! I truly believe that if you take two steps forward, and one step back...you still moved one step forward. Progress, even slow paced, is still progress! I started about the same weight, and have about the same amount of weight to lose! It's nice to see someone else in the same boat!!
  • I always say how much I've lost, but not how much I weigh. I don't feel as strange admitting to the pounds that come off as I do the pounds that are still hanging around lol!
  • I've wondered this myself. My arms look horrible...I'm talking like 20in around...it's crazy...the rest of me isn't as bad as my arms are proportionally...I just try and do push ups and arm work outs 3 or 4 days a week.
  • When I first started using the elliptical it was hard and I could go maybe 10 minutes. Now I love to go, and I can get to about 45 minutes before my heart rate is too elevated! Just keep at it! First time at the gym is a hard thing, but good for you getting out there!
  • I agree, you may not be eating enough of the good stuff! Though, I'm not expert! I say talk to your trainer and I bet they know of a good dietician for you to speak with. I know it took a while for me to figure out what made my body "work" for me and not against me. Also, You should try making the Skinny taste sloppy Joes,…
  • Well, I find it annoys most people, because if you're like me, I'm almost obsessive about checking anything before I eat it. Honestly, I try to plan my day in the morning with my coffee and leave myself an allotment of calories for snacks that I can use throughout the day. If I go out to eat, I just look up what I'm going…
  • I have a lot of weight to lose, and I'm on every day! New friends are always welcome!
  • This was my first thought exactly!!! I think we psych ourselves out sometimes.
  • Yeah, when I do elliptical workouts it will tell me I burned 700+...except the machine at the gym tracks my heart rate and factors in my weight and says I burned around 400. I go with that. I think MFP tends to aim high, so I try to adjust accordingly.
  • I just did day two and did the advance workout...boy I sure did feel the burn in my arms!!! Going to add cardio tonight for good measure! Doing my best to kill fatty!!!
  • I love to use my Weight Watchers Cookbook ( I have the all time favorites edition). It tells you what a serving size is and how many calories are in it. I don't do weight watchers but they're recipes are all low calorie. I also love to use www.skinnytaste.com. There are a ton of awesome yummy recipes on there with calorie…
  • YES IT IS! It's always hard up here for me! I love sweets so much, that my biggest challenge is to stay out of all the junk! Yesterday I stood in HEB for 5 minutes in front of a the donuts case like a crazy lady just staring at them. I some how mustered up the will power to just move along to the produce section, but it…
  • This sounds perfect! Those DVD's are not as easy as they appear to be! You will really enjoy them! I know that I really like 30DS! Though, I was super sore after the first day... so if you don't do strength training (which, from the sound you are where I'm at!)
  • I would!!!
  • Boom!!! I can't wait either! I definitely shut my door and locked it to my room so no one could see!
  • I don't listen to a lot of this but my fella does! If you don't mind, I'll send you a message this weekend and get a list from him for you!
  • Thank you for clarifying the toe touches for me! I was a little confused!!
  • I logged it a calisthenics rigorous because I know I sure did break a sweat. It only took me 20 minutes to do it all so I pushed myself to do it back to back with no breaks but with good form. So that's how I did it...if that helps. I call all those squats rigorous! Obviously log the walking as walking :)
  • Did it! I wasn't sure how to the toe touches. I googled it and saw multiple variations. So, to cover my bases I did the standing ones where you bend over and twist to touch each foot and I did the floor/ab version as well. If anyone could clarify this for me that would be awesome. I also did the 100 crunches and the…
  • Yup! This is exactly how I handle that too. I retain more water now during my period than I used to. Having a baby sure does a number to your body! I just wait a couple days after, then weigh myself.
  • I'm excited to do this! Starting weight: 308.4 as of 1/28/2013
