Pink-fleshed fish like trout and salmon (though I love other types of fish!) and cucumbers.

I wish I had seen this when it started. I finally got "back on the wagon" a few days ago (I tend to do it a few times a year, then give up). Since this challenge is halfway through, I'm not sure I could end up 25lbs lighter in half the time as everyone else, especially through the holidays!!! I'm going on a beach vacation…

Go to a podiatrist or Chiropractor and get fitted for custom orthotics, and wear them in every pair of shoes you wear! For inside the house, and when I feel like a sandal, Birkenstocks all the way! My feet sigh when I put them on - they are sooooo comfortable! These options are not cheap, but are well worth it!

I love your sense of humour, you're speaking my language!!! Add me! I'm aiming for several smaller goals - more celebrations and it doesn't sound so daunting! My first goal is ONEderland, then on to 180lbs. We'll see where we go from there... :)

14lbs to onederland. I've been on and off the MFP wagon several times in the past 2 years. Current streak is 50 days, and have lost 8lbs in the past 7 weeks. I need to step it up, I have a family wedding to attend in 3 weeks and want to firm up some before then!

I purchased a second-hand Gaiam ball chair with a base, backrest and wheels. I turn on some music and find myself bouncing and toe-tapping for most of the day! It really engages the core and back muscles, so even though my fitbit doesn't log steps, I know that I'm working something!

I have always made mine with cottage cheese. It does not melt, but it does soften a bit. Think of the cottage cheese as ricotta "nuggets" rather than a layer of ricotta cheese you would normally have! Enter the amount of ricotta you would use, then enter the cottage cheese to see if the switch is beneficial. My guess would…

I'm eating very light today for breakfast and lunch to leave room for pancakes - I might even go all out and make cinnamon bun pancakes!

carrots and snap peas with light hummus. I'm keeping it light today - saving some calorie and carb room for pancake Tuesday supper!

Onederland! And I want to look so much better at my step brother's wedding mid-March. I feel like I'm toning up, but not losing any significant weight. Getting frustrated!

Age 38, 5'7" current weight 216lbs, 1st goal 180lbs, then re-evaluate from there!

Congratulations!!!! I have about 17lbs to get there. I am SO looking forward to it!

Office job. sit on my butt for 5hrs/day (PT Municipal work). Doesn't help the weight loss journey!
-
AWESOME job! Keep it going, you'll get there, you've got the determination!

Is it a net zero result if you go to Golden Corral, eat all that you want, and promptly have it go right through you an hour later? I just can't stomach the food there....

I am a huge fan of a good salad, and I've seen the salad in a jar recipes all over pinterest, but I'm baffled; it seems to me that the jar would be too full to shake it up and get all the "toppings" evenly mixed with the greens. I thought of dumping it all onto a plate, which would put the greens back on the bottom and the…

My latest favourite, satisfying snack is snap peas with hummus. YUMMMM! It's like crunchy chips and dip!

I'm aiming for 40 to 45lbs this year. I still won't be at my ultimate goal, but I'll be able to assess things and decide on that final goal then.

Great idea! I'm at a desk job all day, and really should take some time to do something. Maybe some squats and arm circles. I'm not really into getting down on the floor in my office, just in case someone comes in while I'm down there! :)

bumping so I can remember this recipe. Sounds great!

Saute some onions, mushrooms and zucchini, then add to the already cooked meat and peppers. Throw in some pasta sauce and canned tomatoes, and serve with pasta or spaghetti squash. I made my "famous" spaghetti sauce the other day with ground turkey in place of beef, and I was AMAZED! It was just as good, if not better than…

I have stayed away from all "shake", "pill", and "supplement" diets because: 1. replacing meals won't teach me how to keep the weight off 2. I want to eat with my friends and family, not drink some yucky powder, and I want my kids to have a healthy vision of nutrition. Ugh, all these fad diets and stuff just bother me,…

I am IN LOVE with Astro Greek Yogurt with Honey. It's not tart like plain greek yogurt. So delicious! I just had some with strawberries and kiwi. mmm mmmmm!

I have a 13-year old Jack Russell Terrier, whom we call "the roast". She's quite round and "beefy". She can't make it out for many walks anymore, but her size motivates me! :)

Small town southwestern Ontario here! I love how so many Canadian grocery products are already on the mfp database (like a Tim Horton's coffee!)

When you are adding your food, there is a tab at the top called "recipes". you can enter your own recipes by adding one ingredient at a time, and it will do the whole workup for you. I also chose to add it to the database, but I wasn't able to find it today. It probably needs tie to publish or something. Enjoy!
-
I considered the batch to be about 8 quite large servings. Pretty good calorie cound for a big serving!
-
I submitted it as a recipe here on mfp, and it did a whole workup of the recipe. Not sure if it's been published yet. Off to search for it!
