  • Vivofit! I had a fitbit flex but need to track HR for maximum benefit and the vivofit works great with my Garmin HR monitor. I am sure they will synch to MFP soon..because MFP has such a strong following, they'd be silly not to. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT HR TRACKING, this is a great device. It calculates your HR…
  • If you decide egg and tortilla are fine, there is a brand of frozen, all natural, no nitrates, breakfast burrito that is sold at Target or other stores. The brand is called Good Food Made Simple and at target they are only $1.89 which is a steal of a deal. They have both egg white and regular egg types. I'm very conscious…
  • I am on daily as well...add me if you want! (in Chicago)
  • We eat shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, which is a healthy option. I always put out nuts and dried fruit, a little cheese/crackers and then veggies with a greek yogurt based dip. I've had brined turkeys (you can buy them brined or brine it yourself) and they are super juicy and flavorful without needing to add a lot of…
  • So proud of you! You weren't long winded at all...you told your story perfectly. Thanks for sharing so many pictures because it is truly inspiring to see real people in real life and not just pictures from a commercial. You should send your pics in to beachbody! How was insanity for you?
  • Hi. I am 6-1". Size 11-12 shoe. Looking to lose about 10 lbs. I was a skinny scrawny gawky kid and hated being tall. I wish I could be young again and tall to see if it's more accepted than when I was a teenager in the 80's. I still really don't embrace being tall...so it's good to see so many of you who wear it with…
  • For long shirts I think that the Banana t-shirts and basic layering shirts are always very long...the sweaters too. Also, i've noticed that the Brass Plum section at Nordstrom (the shop for younger gals) has a ton of layering tees/long sleeve pieces that are always super long and inexpensive but good quality. I'm 40 but I…
  • Last night, I baked the Bob Red Mill's Gluten Free Homemade Bread. It's pretty good! I wanted a bread that was less rice and corn starches (for glycemic reasons) and this one lists garbanzo flour as the first ingredient. I would maybe add a little salt to the dough next time and some savory spices if wanting to make it…
  • that's awesome! I love your user name...wombats rock. :-)
  • great job! i need to get back on track now that i am home from San Diego.
  • Day 3 last Saturday. Sunday rest. Today, I went to a Shred415 class with a friend so will have to get back on RI30 tomorrow.
  • I did mine around 6 pm and was happy that I did it too...it's starting to really feel better now.
  • I am super sore on back of legs as well...I can barely sit down. It must be the lunges, dead-lifts, etc. I also can't do the pushups on my knees...I just hang out in plank as long as I can and attempt a pushup...but I am really strong on some of the other things so all in moderation, right? I am curious about the shred…
  • Day 2 done around 5 pm today...just before I went out to see old college friends for drinks. I hadn't seen one of the gals in 17 years!
  • Thanks Francaise3!
  • I can't do a full pushup either....so don't worry. :-) Great job everyone.
  • I had no idea about the symptoms but that explains why I felt so crappy after a few weeks off of gluten. It's been about 6 weeks and I feel much better and the belly bulge is almost gone! Good luck!!
  • Day 1...done! push ups are killer for me...I hope to get to one full push up by the end of the first week. :-) Question: how are you all logging this in the exercise diary? I can wear a heart rate monitor to determine my burn but if i needed a quick and easy, was curious how you all captured it in MFP.
  • Good luck to everyone on DAY 1!! Current: 171 (ish), body fat = 27.4% Goal: 166 (ish), body fat = 25% I want to exercise 6 days a week.
  • 6'1" (36" inseam!) 172 lbs Size 12 jeans (goal is size 10 again!)
  • Hi everyone! I am new to MFP and have RI30 so I am going to join in. :glasses: I definitely need the accountability of this group...as I am not motivated to workout these days...I lost my 8 year job last month. I have the time...I love to log in MFD and use a BodyMedia device so I will also share some of those stats if you…
