too true. If I'm ever under my goal (which is 1200 according to mfp) it's never on purpose (and never a measly 700 calories!!!), but I also don't work out much. just light exercise like walking or wii fit lol. But I'm almost exactly like the hypothetical woman in the original post - weigh almost 200, about 60 is fat. This…

I would think both would be good but I don't know if I would push myself til I threw up. Start of with what you can handle and work your way up. and faster only matters if you're doing cardio, so if you're lifting weights I don't see and reason to do it faster lol... not sure if that's what u meant.

Sandwiches (just go easy on the fattening ingredients like mayo or cheese and load it with veggies u like), also veggies or fruits that are easy to snack on like carrots, celery, radish, broccoli, cauliflower, grapes, apple slices, well most fruits... and yeah hummus is awesome. Drink water instead of pop or juice because…

you know since the person making your sandwich is standing right in front of you, you could always say extra vinegar? easy on the mayo? more spinach please? There is no extra charge, the person making your sandwich is supposed to make it just the way you specify

Also this and I'm sure it's just me but I'm very conscious of cross-contamination BECAUSE of allergies and try not to let any crumbs cheese or rogue veggies get where they're not supposed to be, but honestly it's inevitable with the way the line is set up (which ensures speedy sandwich making!) Sooooo if you have a serious…

Wow you people sure are picky about fast food. First of all I work at subway and if you don't like the food don't eat it. period. Also if people have allergies or just don't want mayo or whatever on ur sandwhich you can ask them to use a new knife. I have people request it all the time and I have NO problem doing so. And…

My goal is to lose 60 but subject to change based on how I'm looking when I get closer to that goal lol. Also not a vegetarian but I don't eat a lot of meat (at least in my opinion) and I have lots of meat free meal ideas. = )

Also any hot tea with mint is awesome right after a meal. And I read somewhere that drinking a glass of warm water or tea with or right after each meal helps with weight loss and digestion.... not sure how true it is but I def feel better when I do

love tea. usually drink it as is but i guess with chai or black tea you coud add a bit of cream (or milk whatever). Also I like to make a pot of green tea then let it cool then keep in refrigerated in a pitcher so I can drink it iced. You could do that with any tea. I also like honey in my tea and agave too makes a good…

I looove a white cheddar w green apple sandwich! so awesome. Also Turkey on wheat with harvati, green apple, and dijon or honey mustard. BANGIN'

it's CHEESE! how can you go wrong? and there are soooo many cool ways to do grilled cheese. but if your kids are used to american maybe colby-jack would be a good switch b/c it's mild and softer than some others.... I just can't imagine that any cheese would be bad (expect maybe limburger...or bleu? haha) look up some…

I also love to good asparagus or green beans in a pan with some oil and minced garlic. You cook it til it get a little soft and the garlic turns brown (carmelizes). Then put em on a plate and top with a little sea salt and black pepper (I like fresh cracked) and a few tablespoons of parmesan cheese. It's so good!

if you don't like veggies I suggest first of all making sure you eat at least a bit every day because you can acquire tastes and our tastebuds are always changing. I would suggest pairing it with meat (steak and asparagus or broccoli are awesome together - especially with hollandaise sauce, so is salmon and broccoli) try…

I think after college was what did it for me too. Not staying busy all day and worked at a bakery!!! had free goodies whenever I wanted, and I didn't work out hardly ever, and I had started drinking pop ALL the time. I still drink pop on occasion but cutting that down made a huge difference. I also have a different job now…

I feel the same. I'll be 26 in a week and I feel like the longer I wait to lead a health lifestyle the harder it will be to lose weight and get in shape later on in life. And I wanna enjoy being young and lookin' good! I'm not married, I don't have kids...I basically have no excuse to be fat and unhappy I should be living…

I don't really know, that's a good question. What I've done is eat SOME of my exercise calories but I always leave extra so I'm burning off more. I usually just do light exercise every day but if you're working out hard I wouldn't worry too much about the number on the scale. The fat will come off eventually. Also it's…

Wow touchy topic. I love breakfast. That's just me. I feel like it gives me energy for my day and puts me in a better mood because I'm really not a morning person. I know some people who don't like to eat breakfast in the morning because the thought is literally unappetizing but other than that I don't support…

hahaha that's funny... sad in a way, but funny

The way I see it is we are here to lose weight and most of us to live healthier, so my advice is LEAVE THE COMMENT = ) I do understand when people say they don't feel comfortable critiquing but ya know what? It's tough love, and you're doing them a favor (so long as you're polite about it and the criticism truly is…

HAHAHA doesn't really work if you don't have one to begin with. Maybe we should ask kim kardashian what she does? Anyway there's tons of butt workouts so I say pump that *kitten* up lol

what?

Zumba is awesome! so fun and def burns a lot of cals. I like live classes the best cuz I tend to get into them more and push myself - maybe because there's other people around going hard so we motivate eachother. But I also do zumba on wii and I've found some really cool routines from trainers all over the world on youtube.

I get what you're saying but I think the point of the post was to cheer some people up, and the facts are that you can count calories and track weight lost on the scale but it doesn't give you a full understanding of your body and health. I watch what I eat and I like to use MFP because keeping a food log is what helps…

Hard to say when I don't know what you have in the house - there was a thread last night on here about mini pizzas on english muffins and flatbreads and what have you. You can load it with veggies, and who doesn't love pizza? I eat meals alone a lot because my boyfriend and I have practically opposite schedules. Salads are…
