  • First of all, JUST start again. Don't beat yourself up if you had a cookie. Ask yourself if you enjoyed it and log the calories. THEN move on. I stopped and started my diet so many times for so many years. I finally started making steady progress by just sticking with it and logging even if I made a mistake. Funny thing…
  • I know that self loathing works for some, but for me, the more I was disgusted with myself, the more I thought about my weight, the more I ignored it and gained. Doing body positive things for myself...only weighing in once a month, counting calories and nutrition but being allowed to indulge sometimes, doing strength work…
  • Everyone is saying the right things to you, but I will reiterate them. 1)It takes time. I've had a lot more success/less stress when I starting weighing myself once a month. 2)Fast food is not a healthy choice for every night even if it does fall into your calorie goals. Sodium for one thing, but also it's not gonna be as…

  • Me too! There are LOTS of "geeks" who are into fitness. The old stereotypes are just that.
  • Give it another try! Most of these take 2-5 minutes and don't require any equipment! For me, though, if I really can't do it, I try to do both the next day, lol.
  • Apparently I can't delete this comment and it got double posted so I'm just editing it to complain about MFP not allowing a delete option. GRR!
  • For a lot of the strength exercises I feel like I'm not doing it correctly because there's not much of a challenge. Last week, though, with the leg raises, it was EXTREMELY hard and my abs STILL hurt in certain positions to the point where certain challenges have to be modified. UGH! I'm still glad I'm getting any kind of…

  • Didn't have weights handy for bicep curls, so I did 100 jj's and 2 mins of arm curls.
  • Woot! Jumping jack's acomplished! Had a bit of trouble staying within my calories yesterday, because I'm away with family, but did complete the challenges. :)
  • Yay, went and did all the challenges I missed :)
  • I'd also recommend the Kushiel series, for people interested in S&M and fantasy. Personally, I think the 50 Shades books are pretty bad, but entertaining. It doesn't make someone stupid or not into S&M if they enjoy them.
  • Did the arm circles. A lot harder than I realized. I'm really proud I did them!
  • Hi, my name is Jasmine and I'm 27. I've been a member of MFP for a really long time but have had a hard time sticking to it in the past. In terms of exercise, I do a lot of walking regularly but no longer am part of a gym. I enjoy swimming, belly dance and yoga especially.
  • Dressing up spiffy is always sexy. :)
  • LF: Eggplant. It just grosses me out, though I can tolerate it more now. MF: Broccoli. Heh, heh. You all know it sucks up the taste of whatever sauce it's in. It's tasty on it's own too, though.
  • Since you've opened up your diary I've noticed you eat a lot of snacks and not so many meals and then somedays you have two or three lunches. Try to force yourself to do medium sized, three meal days but of course don't beat yourself up if you want a snack. Definitely try things brown rice and veggies or gluten free (heee…
  • It doesn't say on the box?
  • That guy most likely has issues that have nothing to do with you. I'm sorry though.
