I did Nutrisystem in the past for 3 months using the non-frozen food option. I went from 185 to 160 and have kept the weight off for 4 years, and have maintained better eating habits since then. I lost another 5 pounds over the last 4 years based on diet/exercise. Now I'm back on Nutrisystem hoping to get from 155 to…

I have purchased a few different products from Lululemon, and most of them have been worth the extra cost. I purchased their Cool Racerback Tanks in a few different colors, and every time I work out, I go for those tanks first. They are more comfortable to work out in than any other tops I own, and they are cute! I also…

I just got my new Smartwool socks yesterday, and I did my first run in them today.... that was WAY better!! Thank you!

Thank you all for your help and advice!! I just ordered a pair of SmartWool PhD Running Light Micro Sock to try out!!

Great loss!! That is awesome!!!

This week I gained 0.6 pounds, but I don't feel bad about it at all. I've been doing a LOT of lifting with my trainer, and I've gained about 5 lbs of LBM (since 8/27). according to the scan she took yesterday :-) I also had my body fat % checked like a week into the Halloween Challenge and it was at 34% on 8/27. Yesterday,…

Great job to everyone who has been sticking with it!! :-) I've been plugging away with a Biggest Loser challenge at my gym, and that's been helping my results! I'm eating around 1500 calories per day and exercising a bunch. Two Boot Camps per week, 60-90 minutes at the gym 6 days per week. Going to the gym has become my…

I just do water and it still alright. Egg whites sounds terrible, but I haven't tried it. Unless someone offered me a solid amount of $$$, I don't think I'd be willing to try it. I suggest making the shake with water, and *then* eating some egg whites :-)

If you want to check it out, my diary is unlocked. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1074127-confused-about-why-i-m-not-losing-weight-please-help The above is the thread where I got advice that helped me :-)

Gotcha. I don't know what to tell you then. I went through something fairly similar. I estimated that I was eating around 1700 calories per day, and I was getting in solid workouts 5 days per week. I think I gained like 2 pounds and I didn't know what was going on. I eventually got over it by picking a calorie number,…

A few things! 1. Check to make sure that you are wearing your BodyMedia right-side-up. I had the BodyBugg, and I know that it's an issue with several other bands, but if you wear them the wrong way, it overestimates calorie burn. 2. How is your LBM? If you have really low muscle mass, that can be why your metabolism is…

Congrats on that huge loss!! On Thursday the 3rd I started a Biggest Loser challenge at my gym. That really renewed my weight-loss efforts! I peeked at the scale and this week's loss is going to be pretty big for me too :-) I am stoked for this Thursday's "official" weigh-in day!

Yes!! I actually suffered from pretty moderate acne most of my life (12 years old is when it started, and now I am 22.) I was on a benzoyl peroxide treatment series, using bunches of products, and then still getting anywhere from 1-3 zits at any given time. I bought a juicer a few months ago and started drinking a glass of…

I've had a similar problem ever since I started running and Zumba. I always thought that it was breathing issues, but after spending months in yoga and pilates classes working on my breathing and paying attention while I exercise, I found that my breathing wasn't the issue. I went to my MD who ended up sending me to a…

I am still stoked for this challenge! :-) I had a week and a half where I was sick *and* stuck on benadryl for an allergic reaction, so that period of time wasn't super productive. Since then though, things have gotten better! I signed up for the Biggest Loser competition at my gym, which starts October 3rd, so that should…

I just picked up a juicer recently, and from my understanding, freshly juiced vegetables deliver more nutrients than "old" or more shelf-stable juice. From my understanding, the importance of getting those servings of fruits & vegetables every day is to collect those nutrients, so from that standpoint, a juicer is a better…

Way to make it happen!!! The best part about doing the JM 30 Day Shred... you put on some muscle too! A little bump to the metabolism helps with future weight loss! Congrats on your results~

It looks like there is a pretty big handful of days that you went well over the 1900. I know that when I started trying to lose weight, I set a calorie goal around 1700, but I had a really hard time sticking to that. I found that a part of the problem was that I was eating all the same foods I used to - really…

Hey, this is the OP again! I wanted to thank you all for the advice, I followed a lot of it (picked 1500 calories per day, and tried to stick to that number as closely as possible!). I also started weighing some foods instead of measuring. Your advice worked, I went from very little success to dropping 4.6 pounds in the…

So far so good! I'm currently on summer vacation, so I have loads of free time to exercise. I lost 4.6 pounds this first week (from 173.6 to 169). A large part of the reason for the big loss with the -220 minutes of walking -165 minutes of Zumba -150 mins of yoga -40 minutes of stationary bike -20 minutes of elliptical So,…

Congratulations!!! You look great!!

Same here!! :-D

Oh man, if you usually weigh in the morning, that can play a huge role. I know that throughout the day, I gain about 10 pounds. Then, "magically", in the morning it's gone. I drink a LOT of water though. But the time of day likely has something to do with it :-)

Getting 5 minutes into an hour-long Zumba class when the Metamucil you put in your coffee 12 hours ago kicks in.

My boyfriend also finally got on board with getting healthier! I have been encouraging him by doing the following: 1. If it looks like he is losing weight, mention it! Congratulate him, and ask how much he has lost. Talk about any new muscle definition you notice. 2. I've been cooking healthy breakfasts and dinner for my…
