  • I like mixing it with greek yogurt, plain or vanilla! :)
  • I don't see the issue, honestly, with Planet Fitness. It's got enough to get you started on a fitness goal: there's weights and there's cardio machines. It's cheap. It's the only option some people have. I would rather go to Planet Fitness than do nothing. Sure there are better gyms out there, with actual trainers and…
  • That sounds amazing! I wish I was patient and crafty... I can't even make those cucumber masks...
  • haha agreed! It's better when someone just makes it for you!
  • My friend made me a really nice sugar scrub of sorts. I don't have the recipe, but it was lemon and sugar and it smelled delicious. I used it on my lips to exfoliate before putting on matted lipstick. :) worked quite nicely!
  • Look for sales on meats at your local grocery store, that definitely helps! You can freeze the meat so you can have it later in the month. Beans are good source of fiber and bulk up something bland like brown rice. Canned tuna is relatively cheap...though you can only so much of it in one week. Tofu is an excellent choice…

  • I have a bad right knee. I can run approximately three miles before I have to stop because of my knee. I went to physical therapy for it, and learned the pain was actually related to weak hamstrings. You can look up some specific exercises...squats can help a bit too. Definitely look up stretches!
  • Well, I'm sure you're going to get a lot of answers here, but seeing as you are already at low weight/healthy weight for your height, I'm going to say no not a good idea to even consider trying to lose ten pounds in 10 weeks. Also, the less you have to lose, the slower and harder it will be to do so. Any way to get the…
  • So true! Congrats on your success!

  • I would go to the gym but if you feel like you're going to be sick, I would make your session lighter than you normally do. Definitely go to the gym if you're up for it!
  • I think from what I've read on forums is that you can build strength in a deficit just not muscle mass; but it'll help you shape up so that when you lose the fat, you'll look "toned" as they say and then you can work on a bulk
  • coffee maker :) Kitchen Aid mixer or similar model because....baking
  • Definitely like everyone is saying, be kind to yourself and focus on the good things you're working towards and have already done! Also, keep in mind that you're here. You're deciding to make a lifestyle change. That in and of itself is a feat! It's not easy to change our habits. Great work so far, and good luck with your…
  • This is my method as well! I can't really tell what an ideal weight would be because I don't know what that would look like on my body. I'm just hoping as I lose, I'll get an idea of what would be best! I honestly don't care about a number on the scale so much as I do what my body measurements are/size clothes I am.
  • I like the night time too! I'm still attending university, so for me, that's the time when few other students are there, and I can take my notes and study for class and what not. Plus, the gym doesn't open until 10am and i have classes then :)
  • I too struggle with binging now and then, and my counselor and dietician both are trying to get me to eat not necessarily intuitively, but without a huge focus on calorie counting. However, it just frightens me to not count because I didn't count earlier in my life and that's how come I'm here, trying to lose weight. Plus,…
  • Wow!! Way to go! Awesome work and dedication!
  • Perhaps from eating so low and working out so much, you've significantly lowered the efficiency of your metabolism. (not starvation mode! But just making your body inefficient at what you want it to do.)
  • Awesome work!!
  • You look amazing!!! Congratulations! You've worked so hard! (BTW you look lovely blonde or brunette! )
  • Trader Joe's has lots of great items, often some different ones that aren't found at other typical grocers, but they can also be pricey....I'd do some looking around, see what prices are at other places. Comparative shopping is helpful! Also, coupons if you can get those!
  • Definitely seek help! It took me a while to, but I am so glad I did. These aren't things you have to go through alone, and having someone there to guide you and give you tools to manage whatever you have is so helpful! I'd struggled with depression and anxiety and it really was affecting my every day life. After seeing a…
  • Well, I'm just playing devil's advocate...some in the nutrition field are all for getting 4 to 6 servings of grain a day (more or less depending on the person) because they find that grains are helpful for satiation, digestion, and energy, as opposed to getting all your carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables. Obviously…
  • I have super pale skin and run (pun intended) into this problem too. I use face sunscreen for my face and neck; it usually sets pretty well and doesn't sweat off as much. Waterproof screens for all over the body. Agree with above poster--get waterproof formulas and give it about 10 to 15 min to dry! Don't forget to dab a…
  • haha yes agreed. Any exercise that you enjoy and will dedicate the time to do is good exercise :) Don't pick running if you hate running. Choose something you like that is practical for you to do weekly. And eat within your calorie means! Squats, lunges, pushups, pullups, deadlifts....those are all good for targeting major…
  • hahaha yes. Then I won't have to be worried about how I look in shorts compared to everyone else! :#
