Great work! That's wonderful! :)

I like running and biking! In the wintertime, I do some crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing. The besssst :) I know it gets ragged on, but I like the elliptical machine too.
-
definitely eggs and tofu, and I eat fish too. I'm pretty certain fish is acceptable.

No. Unfortunately, MFP overestimates calories burned while exercising. I really doubt it's even possible to burn 700 calories doing 30 minutes of anything. I would go with 200 as your burn.

Myfitnesspal tells you how much to eat... did you set up your profile with your stats and what you want to do? lose/maintain/gain?
-
How much are you eating? Maybe you're deficit is too great. Just because it's physically possible to lose 2lbs a week doesn't mean you have to. Recalculate to lose 1lbs a week and then you'll have more calories to work with. Also as said above, eat more protein to feel full. Also eat veggies! You get a whole lot for not so…

I would say keep with it! If that's what is doable for you and enjoyable, stick with that! Weight loss will come with a calorie deficit, exercise will keep you in shape and give you endurance. Walking and swimming are great! And you can always work towards other exercises. For now, I would say it's good! Keep with it! Best…

You look fabulous! Excellent work! Thanks for giving me some motivation :)

You only eat 800 calories a day?! That right there might be your problem! You aren't properly fueling your body. For me, personally, that would lead me to overeat or binge!
-
I'm not quite sure why the app would tell you you've gained weight...Are you referring to the message that pops up when you hit "done logging" and it says "If everyday were like today, you'd weigh ____"? Because that's just a reflection of your eating for that particular day. It doesn't mean you're actually going to weigh…

Be patient and persistent! Learn to try new foods/ find substitutes.

Not to get all TMI, but wearing a pad with a tampon helps. That way you don't have to feel quite as paranoid about a red spot on your shorts! For home work outs, definitely look at some online videos, or do squats, jumping jacks, jump rope, push ups...even a little bit helps. good idea with the stairs!

You can make it through! :) Good luck with your weight loss! Stick with it! Remember, if you have one bad week, it's not a bad month :)

Oh my gosh, it is such a struggle! I usually don't weigh myself on these weeks, or if I do, I just discount it. (Weight will go up due to water retention and all those lovely TOTM problems!) However, to make sure I don't just blow my diet simply because of cravings, I either allocate a few calories for a mini chocolate bar…

You look great :)

I would recommend changing how you spread out your calories. I personally prefer eating more at night, so I have a lighter breakfast and lunch, then a sizeable afternoon snack and a good sized dinner, and night time snack! I like to eat fruit, greek yogurt, popcorn, jello, or instant oatmeal as my night time snack. That's…

Thanks for the responses! Yeah, I totally understand wanting to play it on the safe side, I did that initially. But lately my energy has felt a bit zapped so I'm wondering if I'm not eating enough. But then it's frustrating not losing that .5 a week. :( I don't want to rush things, I know that's not helpful. And I am at a…

Based on that website, I'd say I'm more active than sedentary, but perhaps on the days I am more sedentary, I'll just consume less! Thanks!

Thanks for the help! I've been trying to lose for about a year or so now. I probably do need to increase the intensity of my workout. Good suggestion!! (I do cardio, running and elliptical, free weights). I haven't really changed up my workout much. ( I cycle it, but I do the same stuff.)
-
I definitely suggest what everyone else has mentioned, especially upping your fat and protein intake!

I'm struggling with similar thoughts. However, quitting is definitely not an option for me, and it sounds like that's not really in your plans either! I too feel better when I count calories, so I don't think stopping that will solve your problem. I agree with what others said above: weight lifting will give you new goals…

I'm not an expert, but unfortunately, I don't think it would have burnt very much...just assuming based upon what I've read. Sorry I don't have a link to send you. Maybe try Google?
-
I usually don't prelog because I end up changing my mind about what I'll eat or I choose something different. (I eat my university's dining hall, so sometimes they say one thing is on the menu but serve something else.) What I do for "pre-logging" is just measure out all the food I've decided to have for dinner and then…

It's kind of hard to gain a pound of muscle....That's most likely NOT it. Like you mentioned, it could be your cycle, could be water retention, could be not having a bowel movement, could be too much sodium... Could be a number of things! If you're following your program, you should see results. Look for weight loss…

greek yogurt, hard-boiled egg, apple, cucumbers, green peppers, plain instant oatmeal, berries :)

I have the same problem with food sizes! I appreciate that my school posts the nutritional information, it's better than nothing, but you're spot on! What the hell is 4oz of chicken fingers? Or 4oz of fries? My school offers to-go containers which is soooooo helpful! I don't know if you're school does that, but what I've…

^ ??? was this anecdote to promote throwing up to lose weight? Or are you attempting to suggest that one should track calories, even with throwing up, to ensure that they still get the right amount of calories her/his body needs to not lose weight despite the vomiting?
-
Have you been measuring consistently? As in with a food scale? Sometimes we can get a little lax with time. And have you weighed yourself on the same days/same times? Because weight fluctuates over the course of the day. And have you taken body measurements? Maybe the scale hasn't moved, but you might have lost some inches…
-
My body needs this! I'm in! :)

Loads of scale options on Amazon! like poster said above, look for one with tare button, also one that measures in grams AND ounces. When i was originally looking at scales, some only measured in ounces. grams are far more accurate/precise. I have an oxo scale. I loooove it :)
