  • By "not gonna brake a fast" I did not meant an action of starting to ate but biological fasting state that body goes into after not consuming calories for a certain amount of time. 20 calories will not make you fall out of that state. So for us people who practice intermittent fasting for example it is literary free food…
  • I love asparagus. 100g has like 20 calories, that's not even enough to to brake a fast. 90% of them consists of indigestible fiber so the thing just goes through you without even being digested. And naturally since you can not even digest the thing your body can't absorb it and add it to fat stores.
  • IF won't make you lose any more muscle compared to same amount of calories and protein without IF. Very huge calorie deficit is what may make you lose muscle. So if you are indeed losing a lot of muscle then it's not due to IF but big deficit.
  • Well for me personally anything that is heavily processed does not count as food... I remember I used to take protein powder which had 35 calories per scoop. Don't remember the brand anymore. I also used some who had 130 cals per scoop. Just kinda used the lowest example to show how even small amounts can add up ya know.
  • When I used to take supplements that have "a lot" of calories, such as fish oil or protein powder, then I tracked them. Even one scoop of protein powder has like 35 calories. And if you take like three scoops of it plus maybe some fish oil and who know what else herbal nutrition powder or whatever then that might add to…
  • If it's listed as 10g of fat in total and 1.5g of it is sat fat then logically left over 8.5g is unsaturated fat. Don't assume that all of those 8.5g are mono & poly fat only, because trans fats are also considered unsaturated fat. In California it is required by law to state how much trans fat there is in food. With…
  • For me it took like a month at first to notice my pants getting slightly looser. And about 3 months until I started to see any significant visual changes in a mirror. So I felt like I had zero progress for long time. This is why I think it's important to weight yourself every week, cos it's so slow that you need a scale to…
  • I get what you mean, moderation does not work for me either. I used to do this "eat the same but less" and "if it fits your macros" stuff for months. I also tried "one huge cheat meal once a week" approach, instead of having daily limited snacks, as well as "one huge cheat day once a week" approach. It worked a little bit…

  • Probably not. Yoga does not do much for fat loss. Neither drinking tons of water. If you haven't drunk that much before you might even be little more heavy cos of that new amount of water. That being said, if drinking tons of water makes you wanna ate less food then you might lose a pound or two of fat. Will that show on a…
  • I play poker online. Do not earn my own money, just take money of others, ha.
  • The food you ate, water, gas. There's nothing weird in it. Since when high and width equals mass? I'm 6'3 and with pretty wide body structure but I do not carry much muscle now, or fat. So due to might high and width you would probably get visual illusion that I'm more heavy. That's what it is, visual illusion. Some people…
  • Maybe they are power lifters? Or bodybuilders who are bulking? Those guys tend to sometimes look fat even tho it's part of their sport, kinda.
  • Do you exercise? The 25g a day limit was meant for people who are sedentary and don't exercise, as well as have rest of their diet very bad. Ya know, the general obese american. If you do exercise tho and/or eat healthy then you can safely consume way more than that. Could easy go up to 100g and even more without any…

  • Try cooking spray. It's still an oil tho, only less of it for same surface as if you would just pour it in instead of spraying. Maybe try to use less oil? A teaspoon instead of table spoon? See how it works. Other than that there are no alternatives. Everything evaporates very quickly except fat. You might try to grill…
  • I do a hour of cardio about once a week and 2 hours about once every 20 days. Usually it's 30 minutes. I would get bored on treadmill too, that's why I run outside at park. Even in winter at - 20°C, just dress up warm and no problem. I do listen to audio books not music. Music does not do the job so good for me. It's…
  • Find something else that makes you happy, instead of food. I go play video games or read. I think the problem here is that we try to run away from negative emotions somehow and one way is eating, cos that makes us feel good and we forget about pain. If we would face the feeling I think that would solve the problem in most…
  • If you gonna take protein powder then you are not doing Paleo, technically. But yes it won't harm you and is not bad for you. Unless you have lactose intolerance of course. It's just a food separated from other food - milk. Kinda like separating egg yolks from whites for example, it's still food. So if you need easy way…
  • Exercise high? No. But I feel very good after I'm done. "After exercise high"? Especially if I really push myself during workout. I think it has less to do with chemicals being released in my body than mental feeling of pride and accomplishment. But as of effects crated by chemicals they call "exercise high" I have never…
  • For long time I took brakes from diet during weekends. Didn't count calories, didn't work out and ate crap. Because yes it was harder when I was not distracted with school. I knew I would struggle anyways so I just decided to fully enjoy myself without fighting it. I did gain a lot of water weight and bloat up after…
  • That's nonsense. Meal timings are irrelevant. Just because you ate some carbs before bed does not mean that that food will turn into fat. It's daily calories what matters, that's all. Don't believe ever BS article you read on internet. I'm sure your nutritionist will tell you the same thing, if he's up to date with latest…
  • I chew a lot of gum. Can't get more plastic than that. Sometimes, when I feel nasty, I swallow.
  • It does not matter. It's all about personal preference and how it effects your personal body. So you need to experiment. I find that I have more energy and better workouts fasted. If I ate my energy goes down for some reason. So I work out fasted.
  • Could be. I would not accept you in my friend request, cos you are a guy. I would not even accept a straight guy. I accept only ladies. I'm creep like that. Not that anybody was supposed to know that, I hope you can keep a secret.
  • Because trashy and bondage female lingerie is meant to be worn by men only?
  • If you do wear some kind of beard or facial hair I would say you can go for clean shaved head if you want. Even a 3 day beard like Statham is ok if it is dark/thin enough to be noticeable. If you have clean shaven face tho then better go with number 2 buzz. The reason is because aesthetically you need to balance things…
  • I would say unless you are one low/no carb diet and are in ketosis where you burn fat for fuel it will not make any difference. Because your body can store 1 to 3 days worth energy in carbs inside muscles and liver. So you would just burn muscle glycogen for energy on mornings at empty stomach and not fat.
  • I've been doing that too. I think it's like addiction when you start to binge little and then if you don't stop while it's easy you snowball. I personally found that, at least for me, like most other addictions really, it take very much willpower. Like you just have to stop. What I did is stopped slowly, what I found was…

  • Not entirely true. You obviously need to do "serious" strength training to gain any significant amount of muscle for your weight to go up any noticeable amount, especially while on deficit. But if you are a beginner you can gain significant amount of muscle even in calories deficit. This is especially true for people who…
