Really push myself to the limit and it is a feeling of just feeling great physically and emotionally :-)0

I'd also like more information on this.
Is the high before or after you feel like absolutely dying? If its before, I must be missing it.
Do you have to consistently exercise a certain amount of days a week for a certain amount of months to finally get it?
For those that get this, did it just happen one day or was it right away in their exercise program?
Were you the type of people that exercised their whole lives or were you completely sedentary at one point?
Thanks!!0 -
Yes I do...
regardless of my failure or success at getting the bar up/down when I am done with a lifting session 98% of the time I have that "high"....
I feel great, I feel accomplished, I have energy and I want to dance...literally...dance...usually ends up as a bike ride or something.
I used to get it from running as well esp when I could see the time steadily come down for my mile...
It didn't happen right away it was when things got "hard"..which is a relative term.
And I was sedentary for a long time with occasional bouts of exercise.0 -
Exercise high? No. But I feel very good after I'm done. "After exercise high"? Especially if I really push myself during workout. I think it has less to do with chemicals being released in my body than mental feeling of pride and accomplishment. But as of effects crated by chemicals they call "exercise high" I have never really felt.0

Push myself harder thanI did last time It is a great feeling knowing I am in control of my body and that I can push my limits. When I am done It gives me that feeling of success no matter how good or bad the workout went, as long as I know I pushed myself to what I am capable of0

I never used to exercise and was very overweight.
I lost the weight and took up triathlon.
When I run or cycle really hard (I have to really push myself though) I get the strangest feelings of euphoria. It's amazing, I think at that point I must be the happiest person in the world and I normally feel like I could carry on running forever. I have also run along with tears streaming down my face because of the joy I felt.
I think I have always had it, even when I was only running short distances as I was losing weight, if I push myself then this is my body's reaction.
It really is the weirdest thing.0 -
I do and it makes me addicted
I do cardio at my optimal heart rate according to the elliptical onboard computer.
Its been taking longer and longer to get a runners-high maybe because of the law of diminishing returns.
I need to have a strong black coffee before I work out.
I need my personal music device with my best up-and-ademm music.0
