I was going to post this awhile back and... chickened out. I am very in tune with my body and track anything and everything related to my body and health - and I notice that I may skip a bowel movement or two before a significant drop in weight.

Abs, kitchen, etc.

Beginning week 8 today - thought I'd check in. 7.7lbs lost so far and 6.3 inches. Really enjoying the program. Already dreaming up some kind of hybrid of X and X3 - one more block to go! P.S. If you look at my profile pic that is the progress in my back from when I started to now.

Great job.

Week 5 day 2 done today - triometrics. This is probably my favorite workout so far! Lots of one legged squats and balance work, and I LOVE that stuff. =)
-
For something like vinyasa yoga, that sounds about right. For something like hatha yoga, I would actually say MFP's estimate is way too generous. Bottom line though - do yoga for the enjoyment of it and the incredible effect it has on your flexibility, balance and overall fitness.

Don't be ignorant!

I am supposed to do MMX tomorrow and after watching a video on YouTube of someone else doing it, I am going to have to say "sorry Tony" and pass. Not even gonna give it the old college try. I hated kenpo with a fiery passion and usually subbed plyo x. Might just do that tomorrow!

Pics are finally working again. Apparently Photobucket was a bad choice. Will repost in the future with different image host and updated pics. =)

Enjoying transition week... did Dynamix today. Great stretch! Isometrix was fun. That is more along the lines of my kind of yoga. Yoga X3 isn't challenging enough, in my opinion.

CVX today - during lunge / reach / jump I hit my hand on my ceiling fan (right on the edge of the globe over the bulb). Doesn't sound serious, but man it hurt! Right on my knuckle. Very swollen now. But I actually feel lucky that I didn't hit it with the weight or it probably would have shattered. Anyway, that's my story…

I see it too. Stomach and hips are considerably smaller - you really should take measurements regularly. Don't your clothes fit better? You carry your weight similarly to me and I always have trouble noticing changes by photos alone.

Week 3 day 1. Every time I do Total Synergistics I have to stop and admire Drea's rockin bod... seriously! If she is not inspiration to take care of yourself I don't know what is.
-
Great dedication. Congrats.

I think the most accurate entry for Total Synergistics would be "circuit training, general". Actually, I have used this for each workout other than The Challenge and Yoga X3. The Challenge I log as "calisthenics, vigorous" and I log yoga simply as "yoga". It's really a shot in the dark with these estimates - having a heart…

Week 2 day 4 done. Really enjoying it so far.

Do these hunger cues from increased leptin come as a just mental desire to eat, or as the growling pit of your stomach desire to eat? I am going through same thing as OP after upping cals and my stomach growls all day long. Trying to increase calories slowly but feeling this ravenous is very hard to overcome.

Cheesecake Factory fish and chips - 2400 calories if I remember correctly. Jerks. >=(

Every single day I eat some combination of tortilla/meat/cheese, with veggies, fruit and a yogurt. I guess I don't need a whole lot of variety. Sometimes I'll get ambitious and make a tuna or chicken salad for said "meat" portion.
-
Take measurements and photos, don't rely on the scale. Also, obviously if your goal is to lose fat you need to be eating at a calorie deficit - are you logging?
-
Not a fan of the gym. I've lost every pound breaking a sweat in my own living room.

I want to say thank you again for all your messages, compliments and congratulations - I have read each post and appreciate it so much! It is such a nice ending to a life long battle with obesity to be able to share my story and read your kind words and inspire others to get healthy. Thank you!

Had a tight hip yesterday so I did yoga again. Just finished the warrior. Fun stuff! P.S. weighed in today and I'm .9 lbs down.

I wish my grocer carried those flavors! They just have the normal strawberry, vanilla, blueberry etc. My fave from Dannon is Oikos key lime.

Traditional hourglass has the same bust and hip measurement. Apple is larger bust than hip. So I would say neither... I would say pear.

Yesterday was the challenge for me - can only do pull ups with a chair, so I started at 20/20 - ended doing 16/16 with push ups on my knees. Awesome upper body workout! Today was CVX. All I can say is... whoa. I haven't felt this beat in awhile. I used 8s.

Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista espresso machine. Wide assortment of chop mats - I need a ton of them because I eat a lot raw fruit and veggies. Just got some new stainless steel no slip mixing bowls for Christmas - really heavy duty ones, they are soooo nice. As far as organization - I have a standalone pantry from Lowe's where I…

I have a binder with sections labeled "casseroles", "sides", "desserts", "crock pot", etc. and everything is printed on an 8.5" x 11" page and filed. I have an overwhelming amount of recipes and this really works for me.

Yesterday was X3 yoga for me and it was just okay. I only ever did the first 35 minutes of yoga X and I feel like that was a much better workout. X3 wasn't very challenging. Anyway, I'm excited to try Pilates when I get to that week.
