I'm Scottish but live in Yorkshire, happy to be added by anyone that really wants to work at this and especially anyone that wants to go out in the hills or running.

Scottish but live in Yorkshire now. Anyone from the area into hill walking, hill running or the outdoors give me a shout!

I've read this three times and can't see the fitness question. What am I missing here?

Shouldn't you have a more direct approach than discussing it on here? Unless they are both here too in which case lets hear their views and we can have a vote?

You pair would be better off with a treadmill :-)

To be honest buddy I read through this thread and I looked at your profile and was confused. I'm not gay so I clearly can't speak for the gay "community" (what the hell is that btw I thought we all hoped for an all inclusive society). What I see is a name of GreatDepression and the description of yourself is, and I quote…

Yes indeed did a half marathon with two fabulous people from my FL, we'd never met before but got together to do it in London. I have to say they were two of the nicest people I've ever met so would be happy to meet anyone from my FL, they wouldn't be there otherwise.

If only you'd said UK, feeling rejected as a Scot :-)

As for the OP I wondered if you'd be interested in a bag of magic beans?

Dundee here and would welcome local additions and none of my MFP friends local. Interested in walking/running/gym/hiking so happy to tag along or be joined with anyone here who likes being active.

Each individual can only look to improve on what they can do today, I'd not worry about what anyone else can do for now, or maybe ever. Your workout is your workout and as long as you benchmark against your starting point you will see for yourself how much better you get, good luck with it.

Genuine question for everyone that thinks this girl is a using this guy... .....how come she's in the wrong because he thinks she should be putting out just because they get on well at times? I've friends (male and female) who I'd help if needed or who would help me, this doesn't mean any of them are more than good…

At least you lost 10lb in the middle :-) Always a positive!
-
The OP should just remember to take the motorcycle helmet off before going on the scales next time, and put the bowling ball down. Should just about take the 20lb off I think.

I should have said 18. is brilliant. The non runners on the streets don't know you're not looking round for traffic but to see who is close.......

I did my first race of any kind in September, a half marathon in London (same one Flixie chaffed at :-)) and what I never appreciated during training was the feeling standing before the race with a whole lot of other people who have felt the same things. I was a little overwhelmed at that point and at least know how it…

That's not quite the right way of getting the second answer, Its 6 x 5 x 4 = 120 Why? First slot you have 6 choices, there are no more and whichever way it goes you have a choice of 5 for the second slot. After picking your first 2 slots the possible choices are from the remaining 4. Had there been 4 slots the answer would…

Being Scottish it's fairly normal for formal occasions, I remember at my Graduation Dinner from Uni the Japanese tourists were bedazzled in our hotel. They seem to get a great response from foreigners.

I relaxed in life and stopped moving around so much, the weight found me and stuck to me. The only way I'm found to get rid of it is to run away from it.
-
I don't know if it's true or not but I'd heard that stepping out in front of a train after a meal might also do you harm? I'm not risking it.
