  • Have you tried rice pastas to make your Italian foods? I'm sorry I can't help much, I have no experience with getting nauseous around food. It does sound like you're depressed - have you talked with a therapist?
  • My doctor just recommended an anti-inflammatory diet to help my GERD and blood pressure. So I am starting GF, dairy-free, no processed sugar. I don't eat that much processed flour anyhow, so I think losing the dairy is going to be harder for me. I'm glad this group is here - hoping there are some good ideas for GF/DF…

This week was not as "successful" as last week, but I did log everything (even though I went over a few days) and managed to lose .8 lb. I'm really hoping to lose 3 more lbs by the end of September, and I might not make that goal - we'll see.

  • Nice work! That is a great loss. I am posting my accomplishment today, because I'm just proud - I just ran (jogged) 25 minutes straight without walking for the first time in my life over my lunch hour.

  • Weekends are DEFINITELY harder for me. I end up estimating portion sizes a lot. This weekend I did go out for a run first thing on Sunday morning, and it made me feel SO GOOD. I have to remember that feeling, so that I can repeat that workout!

  • Also, with all the summer tomatoes, I've been making an easy tomato and cucumber salad - just chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, a few fresh herbs and thinly sliced red onion if I have them, a little olive oil and red wine vinegar. So refreshing!
