Agree with previous posters. Do what you like to do.

welcome!! I bet that boot camp thing will be just the thing. Good luck. You can add me as a friend if you like. Chelle

A good warm up will help with the stiffness and allow movement again. If I remember correctly, she has a good warm up at the beginning of 30 day shred, but being so sore, I would try doubling the warm up time. Been there done that. I remember my weeks at kung fu and after learning certain kicks, I found my hip flexer…

feel free to add me, too.

AMAZING results!!!

Wow !! Great job.

Interesting question. I end up with cheat meals scattered throughout two days, the weekend, most of the time. I try to stay at my calorie goal, though.

Body rock has some tough workouts!! HIIT

I work out really hard at kung fu training three days a week. I try to do at least one more day at home training; however, it never seems to be as intense as at the kwoon. I don't really worry about days off in between because every day is different, anyway, one being a full body boot camp kind of day.

Keep moving, hydration and stretching is what I've been told and read is the best way. There is some research that says that ibuprofen can slow down/hinder the healing of your muscles. I don't know if it is true, because ya know, some studies said that Coffee is BAD, Eggs are BAD, etc. and then later Awww their not so bad,…

Thank you and HAH!!! I was confused and thinking of stopping the water from a crack in the dam..... just wasn't getting it.

Okay so the 50 to 100 grams seems right on. I found out that under that I feel ill and cannot perform well at kung fu and so playing with the carb numbers myself, I have come to that conclusion. I'm glad you put that on there. I have checked my measurements again this week and I have lost another 1/2 inch or so on the hip…

My goodness. I never even thought about back dimples!! ;) Funny thread. Now I want to see if I have them.

Congratulations!!!

I KNOW!! After my third kid, my belly just won't go smooth and frankly I wonder if all the stretch marks are signs that it will never be flat because of excess skin. However, I feel that as long as I can pinch a few inches, there must be some fat in there!!

I'm in. I've been cutting my carbs out for the last week and a half and have lost a pound, which I'm actually excited since I have been the same for months. I felt lethargic and actually sick to my stomach on 20 grams of carbs after two days. I have been at about 40 to 90 grams of carbs for the last few days and I feel…

Yay, I know what you mean. It is a good day, then.!

Okay, interval training isn't in MFP's database and circuit training and calisthenics burn the same calories, so there you go. That is what I would put in. Hope that helps.

I have Jillian's 30 day shred and her stuff is a lot like calisthenics or interval training. Try that. I believe if you get a brief recovery period in between exercises, it is interval training. If you are moving straight on to the next move, it is circuit training. I'm not sure what the difference between calisthenics and…

I wouldn't take that too seriously. Magazines are always looking for new ways to talk about the same things. I've heard: Sprinters get bigger quads, long distance runners have a leaner look, etc. etc. Bottom line is that it will depend on how your body naturally responds. Are you NATURALLY muscular? If you worry about how…

I agree and have heard the same from other sources, especially with the genetic disposition part and osteoporosis benefits. Some women can appear more muscular than others without even trying. I am of the type that will never appear ripped, but it won't stop me from trying to build muscle. Just from the standpoint that…

I have been upping my proteins and lowering my carbs, lately too. I have found that I am less hungry that way. Anyway, another yummy way I have eggs is this kinda low carb danish type thing. 1 egg 2 tbs cream cheese 1 splenda or sugar a splash of lemon juice Mix it together, but leaving a bit of the cream cheese chunky for…

I train in kung fu and I have same issue with logging. I round down just to be on the safe side. It also depends on the day. Some days are so non-stop in there that I log it as a full 1 1/2 to 2 hour session of martial arts. We do calisthenics one day a week, so that is easy to log. We call it full body day and it is one…

That's exactly what I was going to ask you. If you are exercising at night or close to your bedtime, you are going to be wired.

Yeah so my ideal weight comes from the top end of the healthy bmi range, but have since left that more open because I don't know how possible that is. I'm getting older and even if I do get lower in weight, I won't be wearing any bikinis. Too many stretch marks from big babies in my belly.

Ya know my hips ache when its that time and it makes it harder to do deep bends at the hip and squat like moves. I like the reply about doing yoga or even pilates seem like it would make things feel better. I usually stretch a lot and it helps. Sorry, girl. You seem to be getting past it, though. You did tae bo this a.m.…

I like your post. MFP has me at 1200 cals a week for a 1 lb a week loss rate and I loss 1 lb a week ago and nothing this week. I don't want to change my exercising because I love what I am doing and it has lots of different stuff built in. However, 1200 is too low to keep up and only works when I eat back my exercise…

I HATED oatmeal growing up. Did the same as you and decided to give it a try, again, while I was pregnant. Anyway, the way I found that I like it best is: maple and brown sugar or blueberry cream instant oatmeal made with 1/3 cup milk NOT WATER. It tastes a whole lot better with milk to me. I use 2 percent milk.
