  • I recently bought off amazon a pair of capris workout leggings with pockets, high waisted brand ododos. They were about $17 and well worth the price. They don’t show that your are sweaty, which is very important to me. I also bought the ankle length but the sizing and the feel were not the same. They ran a tad smaller (can…
  • At the gym, I make sure I hit the weights. I’m using machines but not the circuit because I want to spend enough time at each one to reach “failure”. I want to gain muscle. I spent on average 30 min. Sometime I spend my whole hour on it. It only sometimes and then I like the cybex, arc machine for cardio. I try to go for…
  • I agree with most posts on here. I have a faberware brand multicooker. I love it for: making bone broth! All soups especially a veggie lentil tortilla soup and rice dishes. One trick with say chicken and rice dishes is immediately release the steam and remove the lid when it is done so it doesn’t get gummy then let it…
  • Me! My family does a LOT of carb heavy casseroles. My goal is to load up on turkey, green bean casserole (less carbs, I️ think), fruit salad and maybe ONE of the casseroles but I’m not sure on that. Pumpkin pie for dessert. I️ want to jump on the elliptical before hand too.
  • So I’m not sure why there are so many odd pound signs and such in my post. Sorry! On my iPhone.
  • I️ have an Alta. I️ love it. They make an Alta with an hr now but I️ don’t have that. I️ like that I️ can change the straps from the athletic one that came with it to a leather band that I️ bought. This makes it less apparent as a fitness tracker so I️ can still have it on and go out. I️ also like that it gives me updates…
  • So I’m 5’2” and have reached 45 years old and seem to have reached a lowering of my metabolism. I’m having to not eat back my exercise calories and still exercise 5 days a week, twice being body weight exercises for muscle retention/growth. I’ve seemed to stopped the gaining and am hoping it starts coming off. Within one…
  • I have a red artisan. No attachments. I want the pasta attachment but haven't sprung for it. I bake a lot and don't ever want to go back to doing without. I bought an extra bowl and that's been amazing during holiday to get Batches of cookies and frostings going more quickly!! Enjoy. Also, I can't say I've ever made…
  • I have been logging my workout and changing the calories to one calorie. Does this cause any issues?
  • Mine does not sync an adjustment either. If I log an exercise on mfp it will sync and show on Fitbit app but then I just get a double calorie allotment. I don't want that. I want it to show an adjustment on mfp, not necessarily through exercise adjustments. Just something.
  • I just got my first Fitbit. I bought an Alta and am looking for friends. Please add me:)
  • I'm not sure I understand. Sorry. I thought the gall bladder processed fats. Why would vegetables and fruits be an issue? Adding flax and chia seeds to his diet, high fiber things, should help absorb the fats and oils in his diet. Without a gall bladder, you have nothing to cleanse out the fats and oils.
  • Not when I'm hot. I tend to overeat when I'm tired because I just don't feel like exercising or making an effort at anything. Toddler was sick last week so not much sleep for me or her and I really struggled to eat well and eat little. I'm still struggling to get on the wagon so to speak. Not as much over but I've only…
  • Oh I'd be crying over all that lost money. Try to salvage. It will make you feel powerful against this world that tried to spoil you food. Evil, evil world. Lol
  • Losing baby weight for the fourth time! Tired of doing this. Lol. Sure wish it would melt off me. All that carrying of baby and birthing it, we deserve not to have to struggle with weight, imo. Meanwhile, my husband has been the same weight since we married forever ago. If I didn't have to lose baby weight gain, I'd be the…
  • I agree I didn't see much change until 3 to four weeks of measuring my food and eating at a deficit and it wasn't much of a change. Only showing on the scale not so much on my body. I'm pretty sure I'm seeing a bit of change in my clothes now. Around 5 weeks, maybe six. I'd have to double check how long I've been…
  • I like the chia pudding also but I only but the 1/2 c chia in with vanilla almond milk( one small mason jar full. Best if left in fridge over night. I shake it up once in a while to unstick the chia seeds. I eat one cup a serving. Yummy. Cals are just the chia and the almond milk.
  • Why do you say that? Curious. Shouldn't it be, if it gets your heart rate up then it is working?
  • Hmm. I don't know if this is what you mean but pilaf is the noodle that is added to rice a roni along with rice. However my favorite way to make rice anymore is just white rice cooked in broth or adding boullion, grated garlic, pepper. It is just as good. I have also added different seasonings like cumin. Trick is using…
  • I love sweet potatoes roasted in the oven along with Brussel sprouts regular potatoes and onion and squash. Potatoes go in first because I like them really browned. I spray with olive oil, sprinkle garlic salt and pepper. Sometimes I roast chicken breast too on another pan. The other vegetables don't take as long and go on…
  • I agree with the other posts. Sometimes you will not be hungry and I'm sure there will be days, like after a really strenuous exercise day, you will be really hungry. Listen to your body, if you are hungry, eat but don't go over the 2400.
  • Yes. I agree. Hard stuff. I love it when my workouts make me sore though. It reassures me that i did something right for my muscles.

  • Is it loose skin? That just takes time to tighten up and if you have a lot of stretch marks, it may not go all the way back. You can be skinny with loose skin.
  • It's a struggle for me too. It's just a decision to make. Either decide to work something decadent into your day or say no. I haven't found that it ever gets easier if others are eating around me, even if they are eating healthy around me, I want some too. Lol
  • And make sure you are drinking lots of water. What makes you think your supply has dropped? Is this a very young baby? If so, poop and pee output is a good indicator that you are providing enough. If it's an older baby, it's harder to tell. However, I would first make sure you are drinking a lot of water.
  • Fourth time losing the baby weight, and staying home with kiddos. It is difficult to be home where the food is. Lol. My tools for coping is logging what I plan to eat ahead of time. Exercising in the morning, right after coffee and kids are fed. I don't eat breakfast except coffee because I don't like to exercise on a full…
  • Not extensively, but yea I know the cals on my favorite high calorie option for when I have room and the yummy low calorie option when I don't.
  • I weigh and measure a lot of my food. I'm 5'2" at 152. I am netting around 1350. I bank for the weekends. This past weekend doesn't count because I indulged for Mother's Day both days which was unintended but I couldn't say no when you are being showered with dinners and desserts, lol. My family can't cook so eating out is…
  • Well, I'm not sure but have always been told that moving that muscle and stretching that muscle will increase blood flow this enhance healing. My experience is that when I do this, my muscle soreness doesn't last as long. Now I didn't work that particular muscle the same way but worked on another area. Any time I sat still…
  • One of my first days at Kung fu training, learning a lot of kicks, my hip flexors were so sore the next day, I couldn't stand up straight if I relaxed for even a moment. I walked like a little old lady with a hunch. I figured it was because I was just so out of shape in general but my extremely fit soccer playing daughter…
