Also, what fat content of meat are you buying. Sounds like 60%-ish. Try less than 10% fat and watch for sales. Also make sure the selection matches your purchase.

You could try Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine, or similar entrees. Also try low sodium tuna in the pouch over salad with a balsalmic vinegrette dressing. I love soups but unless they taste like bathwater they are killers in the sodium department, (even the "lower" sodium ones). I also have found a low sodium peanut butter,…

Wise words Sir!! AHTH!

Previously I could care less to get up and move about. With artritis issues it would take an 800mg ibprofen and a Tramadol just to get to sleep at night due to pain. I used to belong to the YMCA and never went. It was too far, too late, too tired. Basically too darn many excuses! After dropping the YMCA, purchasing an…

Buy a HRM. Then you can wear for both and the results should make more sense.

Painful to say but it really is only a number. Rather try to think this way. Instead of thinking of not being at that number think that you DID lose those 21 pounds since you regularly used the same scale that helped you keep track on YOUR CHANGE!! Congrats on your progress!!

Yeah! Cinder Block Baby!

Achievable, period! There are a great bunch on here. Please feel free to add me.

So true. Time to repair what the locusts have eaten and repair the temple. Even if you don't choose to get healthier the point is that you did choose. Joel 2:25 (NIV) “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm— my great army that I…

I had one lady in church say "your wasting away to nothing". While that is not true, (in the slightest), knowing that lady she meant in love. Bring them on!

All that and a gorgeous smile! WTG!!

Pure awesome!

I hate to sound like an Old F__t but it's called respect. Period! Something that seems to be in short supply. My wife and I always call or text if we are going to be late.

MFP was way over what my Polar FT7 calculated. When I do see lower levels compared to others on MFP for the same times it pushes me.
-
I bought a Polar FT7 back on Dec. 1st. Love it! I only looked at Polar's stuff as it looked good. Shop on line. you should be able to get it for under $75, ($119 in the store).

I dropped the YMCA as it wasn't cheap, ($88/month family), and was far enough away that it was easy to make excuses not to go. (I say I was one of their best customers, haha!) After this I bought an elliptical machine which felt just about as solid as the $3k plus machines. Figuring I paid about $1k for the machine it will…

I'm a 53 guy with hypothyriodism. There is a subgroup on here for those with hypo as well as hyper. No weddings in the future but the foirst grandchild is due next month. I want to get off meds for BP and cholesterol and hopefully the thyroid as well, (don't even know if the last one is realistic). Please feel free to add…

Awesome report! May your NSV be someone elses NSV, ( ... Vision!)

First off losing a pound a day is not safe!! They recomended lose is 1 pound a week and I think it will allow upto 2 a week. Assuming you meant 1 pound per week, this program is deisgned that if you stay under the calories for the day you should lose the desired one pound, (selected), weight each week. When you exercise…

I hope this won't get me kicked out of the club but I read most of them to the wifey. We both had tears rolling out. Thanks! I needed that!

My initials and I'm a licensed engineer.

Well here goes. (I seem to be the only guy on this thread.) I am a 53 year old who was diagnosed with hypothyriodism only after trying a diet suppliment and had absolutely zero results. (The suppliment contained efedra so that ought to date it!) I am on here to obtain tools that I can use to fight this. It's just one of…

I joined a few months ago while on a 2nd, (3:30 to Midnight), for 2 weeks and then back 12's, (5:30pm to 6am), for two weeks. Using my smart phone and laptop to log in EVERYTHING is crucial! By the time I was heading to work I had logged in all the foods I ate, the foods I would eat that night and all exercise. With that I…

That's fantastic and you are looking good! Congrats and encourages me to post, someday!

I noticed that you have only 3 friends on here. Request friends! You will find stregth in numbers! They will offer the encouragement you need and may offer the kick in the tush when required. Sodium is one of my issues and I have one friend who refers to me as his "Pillar of Salt" friend. This isn't easy but is achievable.…

Just a thought why does something sodiumy have to be so yummy?

I'm sitting here reading The Daily Whinner.

Wanna see mean? Go to FakeBook and try to talk politcs, religion or anything else with relatives you don't see often and after one thread exchange you suddenly remember why you don't see them often.

Only read half of the post here but I'm glad I have not wasted my time. Are we on here to compete with others or get ourselves in shape? Ever notice how "reality" shows often are the farthest from reality
