  • breathe, drink some water, and move on. You'll be fine.
  • I eat about 2-3 cups of broccoli most days with my lunch... same concept, it fills me up. My co-workers are all horrified by the concept and say they'd have terrible stomach issues and gas if they ate that much. Doesn't bother me. I don't think the beans are an issue as long as you're getting lots of veggies, fruits and…
  • Hitting "that number" on the scale. For me, it was 160 lbs. Might not sound like a lot to some, but it was a turning point for me. Lost about 7 lbs before I started here, and have mainly been maintaining since, but before that the numbers had slowly been creeping up and up and up, so I'm okay to be holding for now...…
  • Holy crap! I'm going to play it safe then, and just sit home and drink beer!
  • Good question. Maybe search the forums for "success 30"?
  • Looks great and I might give it a try, but I'm a little confused about the marketing blurb on his website. Did he not want a vinegar based product because vinegar is harsh, or because it's not fresh or because it's not healthy? If the answer is healthy, then is there really a difference health-wise between vinegar and…
  • Love the turn this thread has taken!
  • I'd say just keep doing what you're doing and talk about the good parts of your experience, but stop trying to convince her. If she sees your success and doesn't feel like you're hounding her, she might come over to the "lite" side. Don't know how she feels, obviously, but if my SO tried to convince me to join a site like…
  • This. Except with "then", not "than". Yeah, I'm one of "those people". Sorry, can't help it.

  • If you're worried about it seeming too gifty, don't present it as such. Just say, oh... saw this and thought of you and hand it to him.
  • [/quote] But it is the governments responsibility to take care of their people... and soda is extremely unhealthy.
  • No, that's what parents are SUPPOSED to be for. It's not the government's job.
  • Pretty sure baking soda does that too. But maybe not.
  • This issue makes me so upset. It's my opinion that this should NOT be a government regulation issue. Are we going to start limiting how many cigarettes people can buy at one time?? Or say that people can't buy a case of beer? Lard is bad for you too, but they still sell that in the grocery store. Oh. Why don't we tell…
  • Gotta say something.

  • I do better and avoid other sweets when I've got fruit to snack on. I monitor my sugar (no medical issues, I just keep an eye on it), but I only count ADDED sugars, not what occurs naturally in fruits and veggies. Fruit also has a ton of vitamins and fiber, which are good for you. If you're within your calorie goals, it…
  • Wow. That's not good at all. At least the trainer knows you will push yourself. I think you should get a free session for that! Just keep at it and it'll get better! I'm sure that's not the worst thing the trainer has ever had happen with a client! Good luck to you! Jen
  • Wow... just read some of the replies. Some people took this WAY more seriously than I did. Sigh... I'm going to go feel despondent about the fact that everyone has to get so ramped up and argue about everything now. JK :-)
  • Awesome! I'm going to work on this one with my eating: Have more "good days" than "bad days" Thanks for the motivation! Oh... and I LOVE the Max Headroom profile pic!
  • I've tried wearing them trail riding, but have shorted out 2 pair from sweating, so now I just sing to myself ;-p On the road / path, you're moving faster and maybe the sweat isn't as big an issue. I kept the volume low and only used one ear bud and felt like I could hear just fine. Just realize that if you do have an…
  • Welcome back! I understand how hard it gets when life gets crazy. I've been clinging to the bumper of the wagon for a while now, barely hanging on ;-) For me, right now, I'm counting maintaining a success... and I'm trying to clean up my "day-to-day" habits (like stress-eating). I wish you luck! We're all here for support…
  • Daily. I used to log only 1x per week, but I find it more motivating to log daily also. But, because I know it fluctuates, I didn't want everyone to congratulate me every time I had a tiny loss, so I turned off the alerts that tell everyone when I've lost weight since my last weigh in.
  • Hmmmm... guess shopping is out too then. That's a big one for me. I also stress eat, which I'm trying to get away from but it sneaks up on me some just the same. Nap Run Ride Play Frisbee with the dog. When I'm stressing over money, it usually helps to sit down and take a hard look at things and try to make a plan to make…
