Congrats on feeling better. Whatever works for you, works for you, so stick w it if it's not dangerous. Honestly, your post does sound like a sales pitch, so it's not surprising that people are riled really. You admit that you've been here a while and "know how this works", but you wrote a post that has no backing and…

Drink 24 oz of water; add lemon or other flavor. If you're still hungry after that, just EAT... you can average it out over the week.

If it's a regular thing that your son goes to church w them, it's not so weird. Maybe the other kid had actually mentioned asking him so the dad just did it instead. BUT... it's bugging you and these are people you are friendly / social with, so you should find a polite way to bring it up. If your son likes going, is there…

oooooo.... Good Goal! I love Halloween! I probably still won't dress skanky b/c I just won't, but at least I could try on a skanky costume if I want

I just snorted Diet Dr. Pepper through my nose on accident.

Wow... I like snowflakes!

Awesome transformation! You look fantastic!

Awesome progress! Thanks for sharing :-) You are doing fantastic!

nekkid, at home, first thing in the morning. ETA: I'm also doing a "biggest loser" contest at work... we weigh on Tuesdays, and yes, I am OCD enough that I wear the same outfit and shoes ever Tuesday!

Whew. Thank you. I hate the personal pressure I feel to reply to every forum post I see. It is overwhelming at times, but I just know that how much my vast knowledge about all things food and fitness related helps so many people. I really feel like it's my duty to comment.

I'm in! I'll post by time since I split my time between road/road, road/trainer and mountain bike! Also... any cycling friends out there (especially mountain bikers), feel free to add me :-)

Tackled it? I haven't. It still happens to me sometimes, but I try to make it less and less frequent. And if it does happen, I try to get right back on the wagon the next day and make that day a really good one, both w eating and with working out. Good luck! It's a struggle!

If the waitress owned the restaurant, this would fly. Unfortunately, she violated her employer's written policy and she got fired. That's kinda how it works in the real world. Sucks that it happened and I don't agree w the pastor or her comments at all (see above post), but if you agree to work for a company, you are…

I don't even understand... how do you give God 10%? Is God accepting credit cards now? Or serving lunch? There's no parallel. And obviously, the waitress didn't choose how the receipts are printed or to have the "auto tip" on there. That's just a bunch of self-rightous BS. IMO, that is ;-p ETA: though I would have blacked…

My favorite quote of late comes in handy so frequently in the forums... "Don't worry about what people think about you... they don't do it very often". Seriously, tell 'em to shove it!

If you can estimate the number of ounces of cheese, you could just use the nutrition value for "velveeta block" cheese...

Agreed...

Nope.. not too big. A cross bike is probably a good idea b/c the frame will be more heavy duty, but unless you're planning to jump or really crank on the thing, you can probably do most road bikes as long as they aren't ultra-light. If you're planning to take the Surly on trails, etc, might want to swap for a flat bar...…

Why do you KNOW that?????
-
yep.

Good point. If you're going to make it a "policy", you'll have to stick to it no matter what.

I've had this sort of thing come up with patients, and with one patient who wanted to set me up w a friend of his. Haven't really had it with a work colleague, but you could use the same response that I do... I just tell them that I have a personal policy against dating patients (or patient's friends). I can also mention…

Normally, I'd agree, but I did get awesome flowers once.... look up my post in the "best date ever" thread if you're interested... I don't want to bore everyone again here. The point though, is that they were awesome b/c the arrangement was made just for me and centered around something that was a huge pass time of mine…
-
Dammit... trying to write this made me realize that I'm probably not 100% over this guy. Sigh... Best date was the second date... 2 days after the first date, but we couldn't wait to see each other again. First date was at a BBQ joint, watching a zydeco band play and drinking beer. Somewhere toward the end of the night, he…

^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^ Just because someone else does it on the internet or in a magazine, it doesn't mean it's right for you. Keep your long term goals in mind and give yourself some time to build up to the 6 day per week routine. Too much, Too soon = potential training error (i.e. injury).

Awesome job! You look great! Congrats on your hard work!
