I looked at your food diary and you had only one meal and some snacks listed. It appears you are not eating enough. Up those calories and eat back the exercise calories. It seems weird, but you have to feed your body to lose the pounds.

I've been on here for 21 days, lost 4 pounds and on here way too much. Its addictive! I also have a dog - poodle/bichon mix and a small orange tabby who thinks he's a humungous panther. Add me! The more we support each other on MFP the better!

No. She thinks that's the quick fix. She's not invested in changing her lifestyle, so what's the point? Within months she'll be putting the weight back on.

Ellipical for 30 minutes and I'm really thinking of bowling again. I bowled for an hour yesterday and it was so much fun!

I went back to the patches in addition. The cravings today are just awful!

Day two of being a non-smoker! I read the Allen Carr stop smoking booklet which made real sense to me and dumped the patch!

We had spaghetti with mushrooms made with whole wheat pasta. Low cal and really tasty.

I'm also 5'5" and trying to lose 25-30 lbs. I'm on 1246 calories per day BUT I exercise and eat back those calories so I'm closer to 1350 per day. Today is my first day not smoking - I'm nervous about that! I am using the Nicoderm patch. I'm trying to change my life starting with my health. I can use any support I can get!

I have it and I love it. It's a lot of fun and burns those calories. And best of all, for us older gals it's low impact and absolutely doable. Even the kids and grandkids get involved which makes it that much more fun!

I've lost 3 lbs but I've also lost an inch off my waist and 3 inches off my hips. I sleep better, I don't feel tired all the time. I have more energy and I actually feel happier. What an added bonus that I hadn't expected!

I had my fourth baby at 42 years of age but didn't put on weight until I was 53. All of a sudden 25 extra pounds appeared. I've been doing this for about 10 days now and have lost 2 pounds. Not as much as I would have liked, but a start anyway.

Potatoes, sour cream and cheese are my problem. I'm not a big sweets eater but I love my baked and mashed potatoes and cheese and sour cream on everything.

I also need to quit smoking. My workouts would be so much better if I could breathe better. The patches work for me but they leave huge burns on my skin. Has anyone else had that happen? If so, what did you do about it? Any suggestions to help quit are most welcome.
