Thanks - that makes my feel better. I see women in the 180's posting that they're wearing 8-10's and thought what the heck? But I wear clothes that fit - no muffin tops, no tight pants or tight shirts. Maybe that's the difference.

I don't get it! I'm 5'5" 142 pounds and I wear size 10-12 pants and large top. I do not have big legs or hips, I do have the mommy tummy though. It seems everyone else wears much smaller sizes than I do!

San Diego County Fair this year has fried cereal, bacon wrapped chocolate and a litany of other fried weird things. And anything you can think of on a stick.

Sounds like you're doing a great job! Keep it up and watch the results. Best of luck to you!

I disregard the naturally occuring sugar in fruit and milk. The other benefits outway the sugar in my opinion. I just watch the added sugar.

I started at 1200 and got stuck within 2 months. Now its 1500 and I consistently lose a pound a week.

Figure out your BMR and your TDEE and you'll know how many calories you should be eating. You can't possibly be eating enough to fuel a workout eating 1200 calories or less. Look up the eat-more-to-lose-more group. No point in being so restrictive with your calories when you don't have to! Best of luck!

I can't donate. I have odd antigens in my blood that apparently eat white blood cells in others. They won't take mine.

I think its a bit harder for us older gals - menopause doesn't help I'm sure. I'm 56, 5'5". I have my calories set for 1500, and I eat back all my calories. I've lost 11 pounds in the past 90 days. Drink tons of water and just keep at it. Make sure you're eating enough. Good luck to you!

Hi Dawn, welcome! I live in San Diego, California.:flowerforyou:

I went from 1200 a day to 1500 a day and I eat back my calories. I'm down 11 pounds in 90 days. It works!

I went way over on my sodium intake the past few days and it shows on the scale. Although I stayed within my calories, the excess sodium caused water retention. Yuck! Today I'm drinking tons of water to flush out the sodium and staying below my sodium goal and that will also be reflected on the scale.

So you eat 1000 calories a day and lose weight like crazy. Is that sustainable? Can you eat like that the rest of your life? Obviously not. As soon as you try to maintain that loss you'll gain weight. You haven't learned how to eat properly or make good nutritional choices. Put simply, its not real life and doesn't work…

Great post!

Gorgeous! This is so sweet!

I eat real food, just smaller portions. You don't have to starve yourself to lose weight. 1200 is really low - add in some nuts, avocado, sugar free pudding or jello. Plus eat back those calories. If you can't sustain this lifestyle, its just a diet, not a way of life.
-
Really - this is what you need to do. I went from 1200 to 1500 and no more headaches, crankiness, fatigue. I lose a pound every week like clockwork. Check out eat more to weigh less - it works.

Eat healthy during your pregnancy like you're supposed to, exercise (check with your doctor first), drink lots of water. I've had four babies and the most I gained was 20 pounds. Eating healthy prevents huge weight gain.

In the meantime lots of Aveeno/oatmeal based lotion. Ir really helps with the itching.

Also Santee.

I was running late this morning when I got ready for work. It wasn't until I changed my clothes tonight that I realized I wore the size 10 pants not the 12's to work today and they were actually loose! What a thrill!

This! I do all the things the SAHM moms do PLUS I work a full time job and raised four kids! We ALL work hard - and we do it because we love our families.

I don't count the sugar from fruit which is naturally occurring. I only count the sugar in food since I never add sugar to anything.

What an accomplishment! You look great!
