Double check your BMR and TDEE figures to be sure you're eating enough. I'm 5'5" 56 years old and 142 pounds. I eat a minimum of 1500 calories per day and I eat back all my exercise calories. I'm losing a consistent pound a week. And eat back those exercise calories, you need to fuel those workouts. Best of luck to you!

Don't marry him! Run the other direction and just stay single and on your own.

Pampered Chef chicken enchilada casserole. Yum.

I love the Bob Harper Kettlebell workout. You can also find a bunch on YouTube.
-
I usually burn 300-400 and I eat back most of them. I am steadily losing at least a pound a week.
-
That was fabulous and well written!

This. Can you really eat this for the rest of your life? Is it sustainable in real life? Probably not. Just eat healthy food in smaller portions.
-
That's not wrong at all. Sometimes you have to make adjustments to find what works for your body and reading/researching different methods can be beneficial. That's the point of MVP - support and information.
-
This is how I think about it as well. I normally eat "regular" food and make sure it fits in my calorie limits. This is not a diet to me but the way I plan on eating the rest of my life.

This! Four babies over an 18 year period and I'm stuck with this disgusting baby pouch that won't budge. Not to mention the lumpy bumpy bat wings. Ewww......

1200 is really low. Set your calories based on your BMR and TDEE. You'll find you should eat a lot more calories to support weight loss.
-
I love cotttage cheese especially non fat mixed with fresh berries, or my favorite, mixed with drained tuna and a dash of lemon pepper. Loaded with protein although the sodium is kind of high. I just make sure it fits in my calorie/sodium/fat limits.

I love that you post these. They should be a "must read" for everyone who signs up.

I love milk so I drink it! I've tried the almond milk and liked it so sometimes I add it to cereal but you can't beat an icy cold glass of milk in my opinion.

Congratulations! What a great achievement!

This!!!! 1200 isn't enough. Figure out your BMR and TDEE and eat what your body needs, not the arbitraty 1200 that MFP gives you as a result of the pounds you want to lose per week.
-
Log everything, drink tons of water and do your BMR and TDEE to make sure you're eating enough calories. 1200 which MFP often gives you is not enough. And GOOD LUCK to you!

Try some yoga or core training beginning routines - there are videos on Hulu and Netflix you can do for free.

56 years old CW: 144 GW: 130 5'5" 1550 and I eat back my calories. Losing a pound a week.

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, one of the best I've read; I'm on a Rose Pressey tear right now. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Spells, then th second one, Pies and Potions and I just started Murder at the Honeysuckle Hotel. I had to stop for a minute to log food.

Have a couple of glasses of water and then a big, steaming bowl of vegetables! Problem solved. :drinker:

I'm 56 years old. I burn about 250-300 calories most days through exercise. My calorie level is 1500 per day plus I eat back ALL my calories. While MFP shows my weight loss should be .4 to .5 per week I losing a pound a week. So don't be afraid to eat at a level that ensures your nutrition.

This. Try being more postive. There are plenty of things you can do in the house to exercise. Lots of us exercise solely at home. Revamp your food diet. Eat. You should be no lower than 1200 calories and probably a lot higher than that. Plan your meals and snacks ahead of time to meet your calorie and nutrient needs.

This. You've posted this same topic before and you got upset by people's comments. Get help for your eating disorder. This isn't the place to find people that will placate you. Get therapy, join a group but get help.

Nearly everyday I eat 1/2 cup oatmeal with a cup of water cooked in the microwave for 90 seconds and topped with fresh berries every day. Love it! And I lost two pounds last week.
-
I upped my calories to 1500, and eat back the exercise calories. MFP says .4 lbs loss per week. This week I lost 2 lbs. Eat more to lose more - it works.
-
I'm 56 and down 9 lbs in 70 days. It works. Make sure you eat enough calories, exercise, and the pounds come off.
-
This is probably your answer.

ALL calories count! 1200 calories per day is really low. Maybe up your calories to see weight loss again. See the group Eat More to Lose More. It really works and there's no reason to starve yourself to lose weight! Best of luck to you!
