I'm proud that even though I'd fallen off the wagon and had been letting it drag me through the mud for the past couple of months and have been struggling to get back on track, that I finally feel I'm in control again and look forward to my next workout. I'm proud that I haven't given up on myself. :)

I'm a beef eater, so I use ground beef a lot. I buy the leanest they have. It's easy to portion out and then freeze to use later. Because it's just me, I do quick easy meals, like tacos, taco salad, and I love a good burger. I love my George Foreman grill too. But instead of a bun, I like using english muffins and I jazz…

Today marks the 5th year anniversary of my mom's death. I've kind of been a little blue all day. It's difficult but it does get easier. I just think of her as smiling down on me from heaven.. pour a glass of eggnog and say Cheers Mom! I love you! I'm sorry for your loss.. but it does get easier with time.

It doesn't take much to get me in the mood.. but being stupid will get me out of it QUICK!

A friend sent that to me this morning. It cracked me up so much, I just thought I'd share. I'm sorry you didn't get it. :P

I love adding apples and jalepeno to tuna, with just enough light olive oil mayo to keep it together. I know it sounds weird, but try it, it's really good. I like putting it on a toasted cinnamon raisin or corn english muffin.

I was 315 lbs when I got fit for running shoes. He evaluated my feet and my gait, before and after trying them on. I ended up with Asics. Love them. I started out walking, but progressed to a little light jogging with the help of the C25K program after I'd shed about 25 lbs. I used to get numbness in my feet before I was…

I agree with this statement. I've had several trainers off and on over the years. In the past they've all been fit and trim and buff. The one I have now has battled his weight since he was younger, and still battles with issues surrounding food, as do I. He is kind of a teddy bear and indulges too much probably in junk…

I'll be 52 in a couple of weeks. I started last December when I joined a gym and hired a trainer (I knew I couldn't do it alone). My first weigh-in I was 327 pounds and both my knees hurt so badly from the weight that I couldn't really walk a normal gait. My first day I could only do about 5 minutes on the stationary bike,…

Like everyone else, I recommend the C25K program. I started it last March.. just sticking with week one of the program.. with two bad knees, weighing 300 lbs. I've only just progressed to week two recently, I've been careful about my knees, but now they don't hurt, I'm down to 260, and I'm actually not just "jogging" but…

I used to like my boobs, but then I joined MFP, and they left the building! So, today, I would have to say, I like my sense of humor, because without it, I'd be very sad.... very sad.... oh sooooo sad!
