I'm a recovering snack-a-holic. I used to drive home from work just thinking about what kind of snack I would have when I got home, snack, have dinner, and snack again while watching TV. Sometimes, like you, I'd bake cookies or cake or even thaw chicken and make homemade chicken fingers. It was emotional eating on…

The only thing that bothered me about the last episode was that Beth drank the moonshine like it had no taste. Have you ever tasted moonshine? That stuff is nasty!!!!! Seems like the directors would have done a better job of that.. her first drink and she's not getting sick?

All in good time. They'll come together bit by bit. I like it this season because it's different in a fragmented sort of way. I'm just afraid of the demon child taking care of Judith.

Thank you for the post. So well said and you look great!

This guy that I pretty much stopped seeing because it was going absolutely nowhere invited me over recently to meet his mother and a couple of buddies in town. He'd had a few drinks I guess, was overly huggy, and when we were alone, he started spouting his affection for me, saying that his buddies had set him up with this…

There are a variety of nutritional paths depending on who you are and what your needs are. I think keeping it clean just means whatever nutritional plans/requirements you are on, you stick to that. Keeping it clean for me means no junk.. everything I eat must be nutritionally dense and within my daily requirements based on…

I worked as a prep cook when I was young and cut the tip of my thumb off like that. Of course they sent me straight to a med center and they used 17 stitches to stick it back on. Gotta watch out for those sharp knives!

Obviously I can't go to the gym without workout clothes, but seriously, I'm with you about the ear plugs. Mostly because they drown out the noise and people talking on their cell phones. I can't stand being on the elliptical with someone next to me talking on a cell phone.

Born and raised in Dallas, but have lived in Houston since I was in high school (which was a long long lonnnnnnnnnng time ago!)

I bring my lunches to work. My favorite easy low fat, high protein, high fiber meal to fix is using a pound of ground turkey breast (leanest), browned in a nonstick skillet (no oil), mixed with a can of black beans (rinsed) and some chopped jalapenos (I'm from Texas it's a staple), seasoned with ground cumin, chili powder…

In Texas we have the blue law.. we can't purchase alcohol on Sundays either, and beer and wine can't be purchased before noon. It's illegal to own more than 6 dildoes.. where are the *kitten* police? You also can't purchase an anatomically correct *kitten* unless you sign a waiver stating it's being used for educational…

Y'all all put me to shame. I am surrounded by people and don't think I could do a pushup if I tried. I'm going to sit on my Ball today instead of my chair and do crunches when nobody's looking. More later...

You look awesome! You must be sooo proud.. what a gift for yourself and your husband!

I have a swiss ball at the office I used to work out with regularly but has been collecting dust for months. I am at my desk all day, very few breaks and work through lunch most days. This is good motivation to get it rolling (and bouncing) again! Thanks for the post!

I've never paid a lot of attention to the workings of the government or politics in general before, but the shutdown and Obamacare has made me open my eyes and pull my head out of the sand to what's going on. It sickens me we live in a country where you are forced to buy health insurance or be penalized, and I'm worried…

I'm 52 and I feel you girl. First the first time my body is really starting to feel old. At 327 lbs last year, I joined and gym and hired a trainer. I could barely hike my leg over the stationary bike and five minutes on the treadmill and I was done! I started in December last year (and started swimming then too.. got over…

I started it a year ago at about 285 lbs or so. I only did it as much as my knees tolerated, but even doing it just once every week or two, my knees and my stamina got better and I progressed to weeks two and three. Some days I'd do two programs back to back if I was going for a long time. I think if you stick with it…
