You let go and let loose for a meal, and I'm sure your sister enjoyed spending time with you on her special day. Today is a new day, filled with new possibilities.

Awesome story, Josh! Thanks for sharing it and congratulations on your journey!
-
You betcha!
-
That's awesome! I started when I was 45 so I can relate. Good luck to you, and anyone who may be interested can feel free to friend me up.
-
No problem - glad you enjoyed it!

It's great stuff, isn't it?! I'll look up Ed Whitlock's story - sounds awesome! I've never run a marathon - or considered it seriously.

I had one "false start" about five weeks ago where I felt weak and could not concentrate about three days in. I quit for about a week and a half before deciding to give it one more shot three weeks ago (as of today). I have progressively felt better and better each day this go round, with no "bad days" at all. In…

Clearly, nature has never been on a long walk with me (if you catch my drift). :blushing: :embarassed:

I love avocado since it goes with just about anything and is a great source of "good" fat (which I am focusing on upping right now). In the morning about 30 minutes before I head to the gym I eat half an avocado with some berries and/or fruit. Yum!

What about her measurements? Clothes getting looser around the waist, and tighter elsewhere for example?

Katzmeier: I think it might be a good idea for you to sit down with your doctor and have him evaluate where you are weight wise and get some professional advice about what, if anything you need to do from here. Your posts raises some serious questions - a guess I have is that your mind hasn't caught on to the idea that…

My question is, assuming your picture is current, why are you trying to lose 25 pounds?
-
    :drinker: All of which is to say GREAT JOB!

I was wondering if the chocolate whey protein would work. Thanks for the tip!
-
I agree - more protein, more bulky foods (salads, non-starchy carbs), and take it slow and easy. No need to lose a lot of weight all at once.

I made it in! The precipitous decline of CapeWorld may now commence.
-
^^ What she said.
-
I just applied to CapeWorld. Damn, I am so nervous! :embarassed:
-
CHEAT DAY! :noway:
-
In CapeWorld, you get ALL the corn on the cob you can eat ... plus an official CapeWorld Automated Corn Cob Dispenser ... FREE!
-
Sweet! Thanks!
-
How do you post gifs? (Here, not in CapeWorld ...) :)

I was going to suggest this. If your building has stairs, you can do a little climbing at lunch or on your break (s) and get a little work in. Or you could possibly take a pair of running shoes to work and go walking outside for a bit at lunch. Another alternative might be workouts you can do seated at your desk. Google it…

Weird is good. Come on in y'all ... The water is warm!

I can, but I prefer to sprinkle cinnamon and stir in a few nuts.

Casey: I can definitely relate to this! I was a pretty big evening eater in the past and also a stress eater (still working on that last one at the tender age of 50- go figure). ;) In general, I tell myself that I can make one of two choices ... One will make me feel good afterward and the other will not. One choice will…

Steph: watch the movie Sordid Lives - you'll get a kick out of it then.

You look great Josh. Nice work!
