I'm also new to running but I had problems with them too at first. What I did was slowly up my running until they were strong enough to handle it. I would run until I started to feel discomfort then I would finish my workout on low impact equipment ( bike or elliptical). After a few weeks I didn't have the problem anymore.

I rode over 3000 miles this year and my goal was 2500 so I will try for 4000 in 2012 and I really want to ride my first century ride in 2012. 60 miles is my longest so far. I will NOT be logging my food as I now this ONE day is not a big deal. I'll enjoy my familiy and not worry about calories I'm consuming because I know it's ONLY one day. I'll be on my bike Friday morning enjoying a 50 mile ride so I'll need the fuel anyway!!

I have to agree with engineman. I've rode almost 3000 miles so far this year and it has made a huge difference in my thighs. Not only slimming them down but also shapping them up a lot!!

Yes you can!! Look at your calories on a weekly basis and not just a daily basis!! I also agree if you are relying on MFP's numbers for exercise you may want cut a couple hundred calories off because MFP tends to over estimate calories.

40/30/30 C-P-F I usually eat around 1800-2000 calories a day and get 120-140 grams of protein. I'm still trying to lose the fat with minimal muscle loss.

That is awesome!! I'm just starting to run and I run 20-30 mins at a time. So far 2.5 miles is all I have done!! Way to go!!

If you use an alarm put it in a place where you have to get up to turn it off. That way you aren't as likely to hit the snooze button and once you're out the bed that's half the battle already won!

Get up 30 mins earlier and exercise in the morning before your son wakes up. After a few weeks it will become a habit but you will have to make yourself do it at first. It's all about how bad you really want to succeed at this. Also remember weight loss is 80% diet so even if you kept to a pretty good diet you should lose.

You're fine just stay close to a bathroom!!

I typed in bell pepper, chicken and pineapple pizza and a couple of options came up. It may not be exact but maybe one will come close. Next time maybe ask if they can give you an estimate on the calorie count for the pizza.

^^This^^ Girl buy a Spanx and it will smooth it all out. Have fun and get back to work on things the next day. As the above poster said in less than 2 weeks you will probably not see a huge difference in that area but it will happen over time. Good luck & have fun!!
