I have 1 pound left till i reach goal!!! The last bit requires serious dedication!! If you allow yourself "cheat weekends" the last bit will never come off, cuz each week you are just relosing the weight you gained on the weekend. I find what works better is allowing yourself to eat the meals you love once in awhile but…

I started the holiday squatathon in November and was so pleased with the results by Christmas that i decided i was gonna continue to do squats forever!!! I have now added lunges and deadlifts. The combo of these 3 things has really lifted my rear and i am stoked about this cuz im heading to Huatulco next week and bought…

I am game!!! I know exactly what you are talking about.... i get within a few pounds of my goal and then i gain back about 5 pounds and back and forth it goes!!! When i am so close, i need to stop "rewarding" myself and continue on head strong till i knock off that last little bit!!! GRRRRRRRR Brenda

Its a head game! I LOVE LOVE LOVE breads, but i know they are just fillers with little nutritional value so you just have to be mentally strong enough to resist. It all depends how much you want to succeed at this. All the best, i understand its a hard thing to give up. Good luck:)

Glad to hear im not the only one! And i can relate to the "eating on the weekends" problem. I do so well all week and then i wanna treat myself on the weekends, but then that means that the whole next week i always am just working at getting rid of the weekend indulgence weight so i never get any further ahead!!!…

As far as the chubby cheek thing, i always had that issue as well even tho i was never really overweight. However when i got to my late 20's my face started slimming out. I am now 33 and my face is much slimmer then in my early 20's. Sometimes it just takes awhile to grow out of the "baby chub".

If i would ever manage to learn how to post pics in these forums, i could show you pics before and after with just a 15 pound difference, but it looks much better. i'll work on trying to figure this out! lol

I started with only weighing in every 2 weeks, but found it was very hard for me to wait that long! I started doing it once a week now. It still is sometimes hard and i catch myself weighing in between a time or two just to make sure im staying on track.

Thank you so much everyone for your input!!!:) I have been doing lots of squats the last few months of different varieties and it has been improving, just not as much as i would have liked. I will definitely take your advice and add in the lunges and dead lifts. Thanx again:)

Wow that is fabulous Dawn!!! 25 pounds definitely noticeable on you for sure!! I am 5'8" so i think maybe its just not as noticeable because of my height.

I maintained through Christmas but then i gained 3 during the new years eve and new years day celebrations! I have pretty much lost it now, just .3 of a pound left to go and im back to pre-Christmas weight.

Here's a quick question for you: how can i achieve the aspects you are referring to without going to a gym (i dont have big weights at home)?

stay within your target calorie intake for 2 weeks and you will b amazed at the results! That is motivation enough to keep going:)

A big thing for me to avoid boredom eating is going to bed earlier. I used to stay up late just to watch tv, but then i would tend to want to eat in the meantime. Also, weight loss is higher if you are getting proper amounts of sleep, so it will be a double whammy if you make yourself go to bed a bit earlier to avoid…

My starting weight was 148 so i know exactly where you are at right now:) I do a max of 1200 calories per day and always make sure to eat breakfast and lunch so i dont use many calories for dinner since its not great to eat a lot later in the day. I do cardio twice a week for about 45 minutes and other then that i just do…

I play basketball in a womans league about twice a week. And i am also doing jump rope and squats at home several times a week. I guess i will see on my next weigh in if this is enough to still shed pounds when i am so close to my goal. Thanx everybody:)

I completely understand about nobody understanding. It seems that unless you have a substantial amount to lose, people always just tell you that you dont need to lose weight! Its very frustrating, so its nice to know that someone else out there doesnt have far to go but still wants to be taken seriously! Would you wanna…
