  • I forgot to mention that it stops me from over eating after training when I'm starving AND it keeps the "I earned this" sabotage out of the picture as well. Logging it just keeps my intake in check.
  • so I'm training for open swim, a triathlon and half marathon coming up.....I've lost 18 pounds by tracking my calories. So, I am given a base calorie allotment of 1200 calories. Then as I work out, I enter the exercises under the exercise tab and all those calories get added on. I eat all 1200 and ALL my exercise calories.…
  • heart rate monitor......took my weight loss attempts and exercising to a whole new level
  • mine is open
  • Listen to your body......soak and rest tonight. Tomorrow go get fitted for a pair of running shoes at a good running store AND if you already have a great pair of shoes, drop the money on a pair of GOOD socks....at a good running store they are about $10 a pair and worth 20 times that.
  • avocado fish beans lentils SPROUTED bread organic peanut butter For breakfast I have Organic non-fat plain yogurt, with a sprinkling of probiotic organic granola, a scoop of chia seeds and mixed fresh berries.......knocks out almost 400 calories right off the bat :)
  • I saw a product at my local running store called Nips ---- also, so of the guys I know use that product that becomes a band-aid when you apply it? Like new-skin or something, they sell it at any local drug store by the band-aids.
  • yeh - Light Muscle Milks are icky.......and I NEVER throw away chocolate :) but the whole case went

  • Slow way down ---- maybe do each week on C25K twice as slow as possible. Stretch out afterwards, run only three days a week, not five --- swim or do yoga on the other days --- Walk/Run, check out all the advice by Hal Higdon - he's awesome!
  • Senna ROCKS! Softens it and moves it gentley. You can buy it anywhere sold under the label Senekot. Then you need to eat more fiber ---- salad, vegetables :)
  • How do you have your activity level set? You need to eat your base calories AND your exercise calories --- I was set at 1200 and I was eating all my exercise calories then I started putting on a little weight. I went to Fat2FitRadio.com and used their BMR calculator --- this last week I've been eating a base of 1560 (which…
  • mine not only gives me all that info, but it downloads instantly to my computer when I get close to it -- it GPS' my run or walk and then if I do that same route in the future, it compares all my data for me. It puts everything on a calendar for me along with goals I set along the way. My HRM is my new best friend --- it's…

The last one I did, the walkers (not the speed walkers) came in around 50 minutes it seemed. The couch 2 5 k program is amazingit…

  • rest - it's probably the best thing you can do for your body when you are sick - eat the level of calories you would need to maintain, not lose today --- your body is working out without you trying to combat whatever is going on. The sooner you rest, the sooner you will feel better and be back on your workout schedule.
  • I have one day a week I just eat at my maintenance calorie level ---- that's a 500 calorie bonus, but I don't go crazy with bad choices, I just get to eat more. This day is always on the day that I don't exercise as well to let the body recover.
  • you can add me if you want :) welcome
  • I love the GNC women's vita! great stuff!
  • the HCG ones --- here we are trying to do it the healthy way and that add is always up
  • dang it! I thought it would be some great juicy guy stuff haha
  • Work out! Exercise! Go for a walk! Whatever it takes ---- every time you exercise, your body releases "feel good" hormones that help with your mood AND you get to eat all your exercise calories :) Yesterday I jog walked for an hour and forty minutes.....listened to a book on my ipod AND earned almost 800 calories :)
  • absolutely! Also, go to You Tube and watch videos on swimming ---- there's some great ones. Wish you were in Phoenix, I'd take you out for a swim - I love swimming. Relax, and glide :) it's a great work out. The pull buoy is my favorite --- it will teach you how to glide and you can concentrate on your stroke. On…
  • you can do it and we are all here to support you :)
  • You can try a good post workout protein shake
  • Just eat 1200 healthy calories every day and if you exercise eat those calories too.......you'll lose and it will stay off. All those "jump start" "detox" stuff just makes you suffer and it all comes back right away - because you can't sustain it. The weight comes off pretty dang quick just watching how much you eat, what…
  • You know, that's right, I've lost 21 since Jan 1st? just eating right and exercising
  • you know what? it didn't work - but you found MFP now, you can do this, this site is awesome! I know it's extremely disappointing, but it's best to focus on positive now :)
