God, I love Pinterest. We started a Pinterest board at my clinic and about once a week I go on a pinning rampage. I tried making the potato puree flatbread the other day and now I'm pretty much addicted to it. SO GOOD.

I've never heard of it - and I'm a total cheapskate so I wouldn't go for it. A coworker gave me a fitness tracking arm band and I was so excited until I realized it was a subscription service to see the data. It's in a drawer now...

Three years ago, I ordered a formal gown for an event. It showed up late, and didn't fit. I threw it in the back of my closet and glared at it once in awhile, knowing that it may never fit me. I wore it last Saturday to a fundraiser I was singing at.

Wine usually won't give you the same sickness because wine has carbs in it - you'll really see the sick to your stomach feeling if you're drinking liquor that has no carbs in it, like rum, vodka, whiskey, etc. I didn't know this for the longest time and I cheated one night and had a rum and diet - couldn't figure out why I…

That sounds INCREDIBLY necessary to my life. My favorite thing that I've done so far is "almost" Chicken Marsala. I sauteed chicken breasts in a little olive oil with sliced mushrooms, then poured IP Mushroom Soup over it and let it thicken up into a sauce, then arranged the mess on top of IP Rotini. It was really, really…

Preparation depends on what you're cheating with. If you are planning to drink alcohol at your brunch, then you need to start phasing off the program this week - do Phase 2 for a couple of days, then Phase 3 for a couple of days, and go right back to Phase 1 the day after Easter. This is crucial because when you're in a…

You know it! I have until I get home from the bar on Friday night/Saturday morning and go to sleep. Waking up Saturday back on Phase 1 and after the first week, after I'm back in ketosis I'm going to start going to yoga with a friend and try to learn to do twisty crap.

I'm making an hourly wage, but this is a second job for me so the money wasn't my big motivating factor. Today is my second day - I'm going to be there for three days every week, and I think he's hiring another two coaches and the three of us will all be part-time. Tuesday was my first day, and it was overwhelming but it…

One of the instructors from my burlesque school is a belly dance teacher, I'm thinking about signing up for her level one classes when she offers them again. :)
-
I do mine from sleep to sleep. If I stay up until 3am tonight and eat something at 1am, I'll count it as a Tuesday food. Until I've given my body that time to rest and do its magical metabolism/digestion crap while I'm sleeping, it's still "one day" for me. Interesting topic, though, I'm curious to see what people say.

New tattoo. :-D My grandmother and I used to have a ton of nice porcelain teacups with saucers - English rose tea set type things. As I've grown and moved all of the porcelain cups have broken. I still have all of her Depression-era glass cups/saucers, but no porcelain anymore. So, on the inside of my right arm, I'm having…

I have Smaug's daily affirmation on my mirror - "I am fire. I am death!"

There's a difference between what you think is a lot of water and what is adequate water, I've found. I was drinking around 2 liters a day, plus lots of herbal tea and would get the same 4-day gap between movements. Now I drink a minimum of 90 oz. a day and that helps a lot. Also, watch your fiber content - darker, leafier…

That sounds lovely. I haven't used my crock pot much since I started IP - I'll throw something together for my husband and his coworkers if they're working on the weekend, but nothing that *I* can eat. Aside from pot roast with roasted mushrooms, I haven't really used it. I'm getting super into using my oven for roasting…

I actually started going to a therapist once a month because of issues like that. I still see a very distorted reflection in the mirror and while it's way better than it used to be, I still have a messed up view of myself. If that's an option for you, it can be very helpful. My therapist talks a lot about figuring out what…

I don't really exercise beyond playing tug of war with my dog (she's a pit mix though, so she's got some serious tug skills and that's like a 75lb arm workout for 15 minutes every time we play) and my once-a-week burlesque school. However, that's going to be over mid-April and I think after that I might start taking some…

OKAY I TAKE EVERYTHING I SAID BACK. New favorite: The Chicken a la King Pottage mix. My health coach suggested I give it a try at my last meeting, he said it tastes like the inside of a chicken pot pie and it DOES. It has usurped the mushroom soup as my favorite thing now.

I have a hard time with many paleo recipes because they are so coconut oil/flour/milk heavy and my husband is allergic to coconut. I try not to bring any of his allergens into the house because I just know one of these days I'm going to make something for me, he won't know it's got an allergen in it and eat it. However,…

I'm a giant fan of roasting my veggies. I roast everything with olive oil, salt, cracked pepper and garlic powder. If I have it, I'll use garlic-infused olive oil but I'm out right now. :-( For St. Patrick's Day, along with the corned beef (which was a sodium bomb I paid for for three days after but it was worth it) I made…

I've been on the Ideal Protein Diet for about 6 months now. I am off the Metformin for my PCOS and my symptoms are almost gone (I still have one brain-dead ovary that refuses to operate but other than that things are good). I've lost almost 60 pounds. The program can be a little expensive but a low carb approach might…

That does sound good. The only bar I've liked so far is the caramel nut - the others have that "protein bar" texture that I hate....what's the texture of the mint like?
-
Are the ridges better than the crisps? I've tried both the herb and garlic crisps and the bbq crisps and I just can't get through a packet without being overwhelmed by texture/too much flavor.
-
I joined the group and then promptly forgot that I joined the group!

My favorites are: the pre-made chocolate and vanilla drinks over espresso and ice the pre-made chocolate pudding the plain rotini the mushroom soup the wildberry yogurt drink the caramel nut bar (restricted) the double chocolate brownie (restricted) I've used the chicken soup to make mashed cauliflower before, it IS really…

I have some of the soy crisps in my glove box (BBQ). Also, if I HAVE to hit a convenience store I have seen pre-cooked, pre-peeled hard boiled eggs in the deli case that gives you a quick 4oz. of protein.

I haven't even tried them yet. I'm such a creature of habit with my IP food. I usually live on the premade chocolate and vanilla drinks so I can make mochas/lattes with my espresso machine at home. I'm in love with the mushroom soup mix, the caramel nut bars, and the premade chocolate pudding, so that's pretty much all I…

Phase 1 since October 2013. Down just over 50 lbs. and 24 left to go!
-
Mine was private for the same reasons - fear of judgment by what I was/wasn't eating. I recently made my entire profile public for accountability as I try to increase my calorie intake while staying on my program.
-
I'm on it, I've been on the program for 4 months, and I'm down 50 lbs. I love the program. I don't like all the products but I'm a creature of habit so I usually just get the same thing every time. Please add me as a friend! I'm blogging about my experience and I have a ton of recipes and advice to share if you're just…

I've been on the Ideal Protein Diet for 4 months, and I've lost 50 lbs and I've been using it to retrain my relationship with food and work through an eating disorder (I'm an overweight anorexic). It's only as hard as you make it, to be honest, and there's a ton of ways to add variety to it. I love the program. Add me as a…
