JL, you should be delighted that you are at where you want to be for the wedding. So many people get to their wedding day and are still unhappy with how they look so good for you on the progress you have made so far. So I'm checking in for last week. Once again I ate too much, but did get plenty of protein. I only lifted…

Thanks. I am getting over it now. its just always a blow to the confidence when an interview doesn't go well, makes me doubt myself a lot! I recovered from the hangover but I think I will be going easy on the booze for a while (although I have dinner with the in laws tonight and they always push wine on me! If I refuse I…

Damn, I forgot that we have a bottle of rum!! Going over on wine wasn't worth it, I woke up this morning with a pounding headache. after only 3 glasses! ick. I love good farmers markets but I always find that most of the ones near where I live are a bit rubbish. Pudding, that push up sounds scary, not looking forward to…

I am interested in this too (for possible future reference). I know I have read that with regard to cardio it is ok to keep going with what you normally do but not push yourself to do something new (so for example if you run then its ok to keep running but if you are not a runner then you shouldn't take it up during…

I did my second supercharged BT1 workout A today and I increased the difficulty in some lifts and added in extra sets so I feel happy that i got a good work out in. Unfortunately I found out that i didn't get the job that I had the interview for last week so I am less happy about that. On the wine now to cheer me up but it…

I have already commented on this question on your page but can you do either an offset over head squat (holding one dumbbell or kettlebell over your head and leaving the other arm free) or an overhead squat (holding a bar or two dumbbells over your head) as i think these will engage the core muscles the way that move…

I only managed to lift 2 times last week and I went over on my calories without meeting my protein. I suck at this lately!! I did manage to do cardio 3 times though and the scale seems to be beginning to move in the right direction again so that is good.

Congratulations on the job Jo. That is fantastic news. I had an interview yesterday but they said I won't hear anything for ages so I have to try to put it out of my mind. I hate interviews! Cala, I'm glad to hear that your third workout went better but don't beat yourself up about the ones that don't go well. It happens…

I have also made no progress since the challenge started JL, we are just setting ourselves up as the underdogs so that our eventual victory will be all the more astounding! i did my first supercharged workout this morning and I actually found it too easy. I'll have to have a think about what I can tweak to make it…

I am drooling over the pics of beeps and jo. You guys look incredible! I took my after pics from NROLFW but they are definitely not for sharing. I have been eating far too much lately so, while I am definitely much stronger, there are no visible results :disappointed: I started Supercharged this morning. The first workout…

I only managed to lift 2 times last week but I got cardio in 3 times. I got loads of protein in, but unfortunately also loads of calories! This week I think i will only get 2 lifting sessions in again. I took my measurements from finishing NROLFW on Saturday and because of my rubbish eating I am up 10lbs and 1/2…

I agree. Just start and push yourself as much as you can while taking whatever breaks you need. You can start off using light weights and push yourself to do more as you get stronger. Even if you find that you do not have the stamina to finish a full workout then do as much as you can, next time try to do a little more.…

Everytime I come in here it takes me so long to catch up that I don't have time to comment! Today I finished NROLFW so I am going to take the rest of the week off and start supercharged next week. I will take my measurements tomorrow but I have a sneaking suspicion that if there is any change in the numbers it will be…

So last week I got reached all of the goals I set myself but unfortunately I also went WAY over on my calories so I think I will have to add in another goal: 4. Do not go over weekly calories. I finish NROLFW on Thursday so I will do measurements and take photos on Friday. Hopefully I will see some progress.

Don't stress about the scale too much JL, I'm sure a lot of that is water weight. I couldn't weigh myself this morning because I ate so much salty food yesterday and I didn't want to see the results on the scale! What is this common core that everyone speaks of? I have never heard of it. Either we don't use it in Ireland…

manic, congrats on getting back into it. I know the pain of gaining back weight. I just can't seem to stop the scale moving in the wrong direction. I have completely lost my will power when it comes to eating. Julie, congrats on finishing stage 4. What is a pumpkin patch? we don't have them here. barbell, your weights are…

I also love coming across women who lift heavy and with great form. Although it doesn't happen often so I am very conscious that I keep staring at them. Its in an admiring way but they probably think I am weird! I also don't do crunches anymore. At the minute I am doing no core work in stage 7 but when I move on to…

I haven't been hitting my goals at all! Only lifted twice last week. Am hoping to get in 3 times this week but getting to the gym is proving difficult today because my gym bag is in my boyfriends car and he is gone to work  I'm pretty sure my calories will be all over the place this week too because tomorrow we are…

I'm so sore today! I went hiking to try to burn off some of the insane amount of food I ate last night and I learned that hiking when your body already hurts is not a good idea. After my shower I couldn't put my socks on! My doctorate is in Educational Psychology so I will be working with children who have learning…

Thanks everyone. I still can't believe its finally over. Now I just need to find a job... I took over a week off from lifting due to illness/injury/workload. I started back on Wednesday with the last NROLFW workout which included deadlifts. Then yesterday I went running and today I repeated the first stage 7 workout. Now I…

Hi guys. I am afraid I am going to have to follow in the footsteps of Zombie Inkpot and bow out of this challenge. It's only week 1 and I am already stressing about how to fit it in and I have had enough stress in my life lately so I refuse to do this to myself. Good luck to everyone. I know you will kick *kitten*!
-
Thanks guys. But from now on its Dr Dou! I finished stage 7 of NROLFW today. But I felt weak after being sick so couldn't get my normal weights and reps in. I think I am going to repeat it. and then on to Supercharged!

Hi guys, Sorry I have been awol again. I finally recovered from my flu and injury last week but then didn't have time to get to the gym. Instead I went to England to have my oral exam of my thesis. And I passed!!! I am now a doctor!! My eating might be a bit terrible for the next week or two because I think I will be…

I finally got to watch the episode so can check in here (I was avoiding it in case of spoilers). Wow, Carol is freaking amazing. I am actually sorry that I have picked Michonne. What an episode!

I had given up on weight loss and was focusing on body recomp but then I put on weight! :disappointed: So I am back on weight loss mode. If I lose 4lbs over the course of this challenge I will be delighted.

aggh, I hate this new set up. I hate that I have to click into groups and then click into this group and then scroll down to see if there is any activity. I have other groups that I chat in too so I find that I am just not bothering to check. I hope they are planning on fixing this. I haven't done any exercise this week. I…

I'm going to sit out the mini challenge this week because I am still sick and injured. But some examples might be something along the lines of walk an extra mile per day, or do 15 burpees/push ups/insert exercise per day. or maybe do a certain number of reps of something over the course of the week. So it could be to do 30…

You are not alone Jo. it took a lot of clicking to get in here just to see if it still existed. I don't think this is worth me having to put up with a forum free day yesterday.
-
That look terrifying!! I'm trying to convince my sister to do the zombie one but she has just gotten into the walking dead and is afraid that she might stab the actors in the head.

I am Michonne. Because I have a thing for strong kick-*kitten* women. But I also love Daryl and Carol so it was a tough choice. I am possibly up for a challenge this week. I'm a little crippled from falling off a horse and I am sick so planning on taking it easy for the next few days. What kind of challenge did you have in…
