  • I'm going to continue becoming me & to stop letting things take precedence over myself. I'm going to continue dancing & begin capoeira. I'm going to continue eat healthy & not care about others' opinions.
  • My right thigh went from 18.5" to 18", while my left from 18" to 17.7". Everything else stayed the same. :flowerforyou:
  • This is a start of a beautiful, life-changing journey. We'll all support you :flowerforyou: Start off 1400-1500 net calories a day until you can invest in a measuring tape & we can get your proper BMI & daily energy spent (referred to as TDEE) so you know how many calories you need a day. Be sure that you strength-train 3…
  • I'm going to do my weigh-in tomorrow morning, I got my wisdom teeth out today :embarassed:
  • GameFAQs, Silent Hill Forum, Heaven & Earth; I made a forum with a friend in 2008 but we stopped it after 3-4 months. I can't think of any others because those were the most prominent, but I've been on a lot. I'm also an active moderator on the main Lady Gaga forum (GagaDaily).
  • We can't view your diary & exercise log, fix that! In the mean time, how many net calories are you eating everyday? Are you strength training, too?
  • Here's what you need to do in a nutshell: Do: 1. Strength train 3-4x a week, compound exercises (involves multiple body parts: deadlifts, squats, pushups, etc.). 2. Eat as healthy & natural as possible, with more food for strength & less for cardio/ rest. Get protein powder, too! 3. Take measurements of your body weekly;…
  • Wonderful! What did you do? I hope you're doing cardio & strength training! :flowerforyou:
  • I love this, I know you'll do just fine. keep us updated with how your marathon goes. Is it your first? :flowerforyou: My goal is to be a better person than I was this year in all domains of my life. It's my first time not setting myself with a specific goal that's easy to fail. I'm very excited for what 2013 will…
  • That's right! It's scary at first, but I'm noticing improvement now compared to when I was eating net 800. Strength train 3x a week, & cardio the other 3x with 1 rest day! Eat more on strength days & less on cardio (for instance, I eat 1600 - 1800 vs. 1400 - 1500). Natural foods will do a lot better for your health & keep…
  • I don't log exercise. I eat my required calories, which is anything less than my TDEE & above my BMI. I eat less on days where I don't strength train & eat more on days when I do! If I were you, I would try to get my TDEE/ BMI & follow that method -- or log exercise & eat back 1/3 of my calories. Good luck, & don't forget…
  • Add strength training, ladies! Although cardio will help lose fat, strength training is what will tighten up your bodies. That goes for both people whom have had babies & people whom haven't!
  • Congratulations! You are a beautiful role model for your children. Did you do strength training? :)
  • I eat 5-6 small meals a day! Fill up on protein with powder if you need to, & always drink water. Never stop logging! I complete something productive, such as, 'I'll finish this assignment', or, 'I'll finish my workout first'. Sometimes it's simple as, 'I'll clean the house & feed my cats!' It gets work done, & keeps me in…
  • I'm 27 (up by 1) inches around the stomach, but I'm bloated. I'll see how it looks next week!
  • 1200 calories is not enough for any form of exercise unless you're under 5"0. Eat 1500-1600 instead, the inches will fall off as your body builds muscle! Thank you for telling me about capoeira by the way, & answering my questions :flowerforyou:
  • I'm a belly dancer, but I was interested in capoiera when I was a kid. You've officially inspired me to do it on once I master belly dance! I guess I just have a love for African dances, whether Spanish or Middle Eastern in nature  Is it hard to do?
  • I did that for my first month & was getting much stronger & feeling so great, when one day I got dizzy & felt like I had vertigo for more than 12 hours. I almost fainted in class as the day went on. It was so unexpected because of how good I'd been feeling. Please go up to 100 cals greater than BMI for your net & go from…
  • My stomach so that I can reach my goal. :flowerforyou:
  • This was a beautiful story. Wonderful job, & congratulations on your coming wedding. Please keep us updated & never forget how far you've come, never stop moving. Best wishes to you & your fiancee for life
  • Try to take out the easiest sources of stress that you can, whether that's your job or something else. Try to find a hobby, one that can help you relax & feel better about yourself & life (having depression, dance has been one of the best aids for me & I no longer anticipate falling back into an episode). How long have you…
  • Thank you for the wonderful tip, drmerc!
  • Here I am! I play just about everything under the gaming sun ever since the 80s until now. I'm 20. I also collect a lot of rare games & I'm obsessed with 100%ing. I don't watch TV though :) add me!
  • Count your measurements, not your pounds. Don't worry, you're doing great!
  • 26 inches at stomach! My stomach hasn't decreased, but my waist has. Excited to see my progress! Don't forget to do your measurements, girls! Accurately gauging your loss is through measurements, not the scale.
  • Bananas Apples Nuts Seeds Greek Yogurt Tomatoes Eggs Whole Wheat/ Grain Bread Oatmeal 1% Milk Raisins Peanut Butter Salad Crackers Never go without these being around!
  • Eat real, healthy food; eat net calories >1400 but <1600; strength train 3x a week with cardio 2x; & track your MEASUREMENTS, not your weight. I guarantee that things will only keep getting better!
  • I remember all of these, damn. Add in all of the iconic Nintendo games on SNES & N64 (Mario, Zelda, Banjo, etc.)
  • <1300 on Insanity is not enough. Eat 1700 net & make your macros more doable, such as 40/30/30. For instance, I eat lots of fruit & beans so my carbs = 40, but I also eat a lot of protein so my protein = 40. Make it work for your diet! But what's most important is how much you're eating & how well you eat. Good luck!
  • I'm a Junior. I've found it easier because I now have free access to a gym & fitness classes, more healthy choices than HS, & a job! To eat healthy, I don't carry money; I bring all of my meals so no impulse buying! Make sure that you're eating enough cals (1500-1800), & eating back cals if you burn below 1200. You'll…
