I've done it before. It is water weight that you lose and although I did not see a big difference in the three sessions that I attended, I could see a minute difference. On the one that I used, it would calculate how many calories it burned for your time/size and it seems like it was around 600-700 calories. I can't…

bump...for later. Would it depend on how much water you use per cup/teabag?

Team C---4 mile walk/jog today (in 50 minutes!!!!!)

Team 3-- 4.5 miles yesterday (I forgot to post).

I recently went out of town for training and it was hard to track my calories since we were eating out and eating things that I didn't even begin to know how to track. One of my MFP buddies recommended using the food notes to jot down what I did eat. This still keeps you accountable for everything, but at those times when…

I walk/jog during my lunch. It's the only time that I feel is MINE. It works for me. You have to find the time that works for you.

The Lincoln Lawyer was practically verbatim to the book!!

Count me in please!! I have challenged myself to 400 miles by the end of the year based on my previous average, but I definitely need more of a challenge since the weather is cooler!
-
That looks awesome!! I cannot wait to try it!

You know, now that you mentioned it, that might be my problem! I started drinking diet green tea a few months ago as soon as I'm done walking/jogging and it helped to ward off my desire for a Vanilla Coke Zero in the afternoon. About the same time, I cut back on my morning coffee intake as well. I had noticed that I was…

That's awesome... and I agree with the others...we need to see before (8th grade) & after (current) pictures of you in the dress!

I understand completely!! I feel the same way. I know that I have more self-confidence with translates to me being happier when my clothes fit better, but I have trouble staying motivated. I keep telling myself that I can & will do it, but I then I fall off the wagon. The good thing is that I just get back up there each…

I was talking with one of the Agents here at work today and I am really thinking that I may go ahead and join the gym. I want to change up my routine, which is currently just walking/jogging for 2-4 miles at least 4 days a week. With two jobs and three kids, time and energy before/after work is pretty limited, my lunchtime…

I typically go walk/jog around a 2 mile loop while on my lunch; sometimes doing it twice. The other Admin goes to the gym every day and works out with a trainer (think body builder), but I haven't been brave enough to go to the gym, yet and try the weights. On the days that I don't go walk I can barely stay awake the rest…

I work part time at Sears. I do a lot of walking, or should I say pacing back and forth. I don't count that in my exercise, though. I look at it as those stolen tastes of the kids food, licking the spoon, etc that I may not jot down in my food diary. I agree with the others though, if you are doing this for 8 hour shifts,…

I agree that it is pretty accurate if you are consistent with your calorie intake/expense. When I have those bad or "spike" days, I use it as a scare tactic and a lot of times it helps.

That sounds, well, amazing. This would definitely be a do-able diet plan to follow for me. Thank you for sharing!

Feel free to add me, too.

Be careful if your running unless the orthopedic said you could run. When my husband had shoulder problems, his PT told him NOT to run as it was bad on his shoulder.

I've been eyeing this for awhile. I'm in; I'll have to start tomorrow as I am done for the day!

Welcome to MFP, fellow Texan. Feel free to ad me if you like.

I heard on Biggest Loser one time that they video taped the contestants running to help them to see what they are doing wrong and how to improve their form for better performance. I have always secretly wished someone would record me when I walk or run, but I'm afraid that I might not ever do it again! I always wonder, do…

Congratulations on getting out there and moving. When my son was a baby, I used a baby backpack to put him in when I walked. Because of the metal frame, it kept me walking with my back straight as a board. I learned to walk with a stiff back and basically squatting as I walk to increase my speed. This works the muscles in…

Retired Coast Guard wife here. Feel free to add me as your friend as well.

I had wondered the same thing myself. My schedule doesn't allow (okay I won't let it allow) for me to work out in front of the tv without an audience very often. I keep thinking I'll see if I can't rent it and get my 13 & 15 year olds that run track to do it with me. The more I see and the more results that are posted, the…
I'm at my goal weight, but when I run my face still turns as red as a tomato. I used to be afraid that people would stop me and tell me I needed to rest or I might die. Now I don't care. :)
I am the same way!!! This is one reason that I prefer to jog outside since I can pretend it's from the sun.

I typically walk a 2 mile loop around our area lake that is uphill both ways. With the cooler weather (below 98 degrees) I have been able to do more interval training on the straight-aways and downhills. I definitely have better time than when I am doing the treadmill set at elevation 1. I have not ran on a track…

I am 5'4" and I am comfortable at around 132. Due to lack of appetite due to stress I did hit 128 in the past year, but when I did, several family members voiced their concerns and said I was too thin. I am happiest around 132, I am comfortable in my own body at that weight and I don't feel like I am having to deprive…

It sounds good. I agree...I'm going to have to try it. My daughter is a vegetarian, but she LOVES peanut butter. I may be able to make it without the chicken for her or pick the chicken out for her. I bet she'd enjoy it.

I want in on this, too! I don't have 20 lbs to lose, but I need that extra push to lose about 8-10 more! Week 1: 138 lbs
