: As I was going through the totals I noticed that she said she had had a health scare. I don't mind keeping the tallies until she returns and even starting up a new one for December. It was VERY motivating to me to go through and see how far some of y'all walked/ran/biked/elypted (is that a word?:blushing: )

I'm not sure what happened to hulalula1, I hope she's okay. I've got some extra time today that I need to look busy, so I'll see if I can't go through and get us totals for week 2 & week 3.

I just wanted to say how much I like this Topic. I always like to see what all I've done during the day, but when I post it on Facebook, I get comments about being "super mom". No, I just want a clean house & it feels good to tell others what I've done. Today, I took down the blinds, hung them on the fence & power washed…

Me too!!!! :flowerforyou:

To remind us to look at something later.....:flowerforyou: If you reply to a post or "bump", you can later look it up under "MY TOPICS" to see the other replies otherwise the topic would be lost in the abyss of topics.

I don't qualify as living in a cold environment, or needing to hibernate because of the snow as a Texan, but I am very cold natured! I find that when I am cold, I tend to crave more food in an attempt to get warm. In the past, I found I could "help" curb it by drinking hot tea, but I don't really care for it. Being cold…

I definitely think that the motivational stories here help. I also enjoy reading this forum. Many times, I start to feel guilty that I'm not making the time like others or someone will post a hint that I know will be beneficial to me and I incorporate it into what I do. Find yourself some buddies and see if their…

I don't know the answer to this, but wanted to bump for later. I have that app downloaded, but I've never used it. I'm interested in the answer....
I do the same - but I only have 1 child. I bought a laundry sorter from Target that has 3 bags and I've taught my 7yo son how to sort his clothes. If only I could teach DH.
My DH is the only one that cannot sort his own clothes. I will find his black socks in with the bleach clothes, white…

Team C/3--4 miles today!

I do this too! My weight fluctuates 2-3 pounds in a week between given days, so I was worried about getting on the scales once a week on a heavy day. I now try to weigh every day. I don't always log it, sometimes, I forget, but I make note of it for tomorrow.
-
IMO that would depend. What do y'all do during the day? Do you sit and watch cartoons or are you cleaning, playing tag, dancing around, etc? I used to do home day care and would vacuum & mop the house every morning before I opened. Between doing this and getting my own four kids up and off to school, I would usually log…

I have four kids (although joined the Air Force a year ago). I have the laundry sorting bags next to the washer/dryer that the kids are to sort their own clothes. When a bag is almost full, I will do a load or two. I never could do "laundry day"; I hate doing laundry enough that the thought of doing nothing but laundry all…

It logged this twice and I don't know how to delete the duplicate post. Any help would be appreciative. :flowerforyou:

I've always wanted to try the steel cut oatmeal, but I don't have that much time in the morning to make it. I guess I need to get some & I can make it for supper some night. The kids and I will have breakfast for supper when I haven't had the time to make them a good healthy full breakfast.

that's awesome!!! I think it's so neat to hear those comments like that or I didn't even recognize you, you look like a completely different person!

I love oatmeal! After years of eating the instant-in-a-packet kind of oatmeal, I have recently rediscovered minute oatmeal mixed w/ raisins, stevia & cinnamon. And yep, within an hour or so, I am hungry again and starving by lunch! I think that is my problem today, I am eating everything in sight and I had oatmeal for…

I read something recently that said if you were going to walk/run on a treadmill, set the incline to at least 1.0 to help compensate for wind, etc.

Mixed nuts and dried tropical fruit. I mix up a trail mix with these & goldfish crackers or cheez-its and I can eat a LARGE bowl over & over!!!

My daughter's been a vegetarian for a little over two years and yes, she misses meat, especially chicken. She lately has been saying "when she eats meat the first time....". It'll be interesting to see the comments on this one.

Great job!!! And if you did it once, you can do it again if it happens!!!!
