Bread: ain't nobody got time fo' that!

I'm eating 1500 a day, which is my TDEE minus 20%. I hardly work out, and log and eat calories if I do. However, these last two weeks have been weird, and I have eaten other peoples cooking I can't log (don't know the calories for).

I'm going to go if I don't get it by the end of the month. I guess I want some reassurance that nothing seriously is wrong.

I'm slowly making the switch to maintenance mode. I have enough of a deficit that I am sloooooooowly loosing weight but not actively trying to maintain at this moment. I just got a Y membership, so I am sooooo excited to start doing some free-weights and body recomposition work now!

I made a great yogurt dip for my fruit this morning... a tbs or two of yogurt, stevia to taste, and a little vanilla! It was great!

Good call on the weather! We are having an unsualy warm summer where I live! It would make sense that the extra heat stress might make our bodies work harder = more calories expended = hungrier me!

I like making egg "mcmuffins": 1 whole wheat english muffin 3 egg whites (nuked in a coffee cup to make a "patty") 1-2 tbs salsa Place egg patty on toasted english muffins and serve with salsa. I used to add cheese, but I don't even miss it. Calorie count comes out to be 190 or so or a bit more if you add cheese. Also rice…

Wow, you guys are good :) My budget right now is about 200$ which doesn't need to be sacrificed at the moment, but I really would like to have a plan if/when the need arises. I am also only buying for one person, which makes 200$ stretch a bit further than if I was shopping for a family. Great suggestions!

Anyone?

I have them all the time! I make several batches and freeze them. They freeze well, just make sure there is some kind of barrier (wax, parchment paper) between them so they don't freeze together.
-
I read that standing burns 50 calories more than sitting. It was something I read (or attribute to?) Jillian Michaels. I dunno if it is true, but yeah :)
-
yes :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to try a carrot cake recipe I found on the web this weekend. I will report how it worked out :)

[/quote] Wow! What a yummy looking meal, and beautiful photography!

When I do mine, I bake the dough for 10 minutes, then put the toppings on, and broil until cheese is melted. However, that is just my method.
-
I froze the baked version, but I too think that freezing the dough should work.

They are.... flatbread-y lol. It's more like thin pizza crust like.
-
Haha, Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Brownie frozen yogurt :)
-
ohhhh sounds great!
-
Great suggestions! I will have to pick up some frozen spinach now!
-
I am so glad :) I made a HUGE batch the other night and froze them! They freeze great too, just place a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper between each one so they don't stick together.
-
It sounds so fancy :)
-
Calorie count is posted in topic title.

Glad I could help :)

Bump for later

My homemade flatbread recipe. SOoooooooooooooooo stinkin good. I used it as a base for a healthy homemade pizza. I will NEVER buy pizza again!
-
So just a quick update: This makes THE best homemade pizza crust! I sauted up some chicken, bell peppers, and onions and a bit of cheeze over some (store bought) pizza sauce and broiled it until the edges started to darken on the crust. It was soooooo good!

This recipe is really versatile, you can do honey and cinnamon to taste in the dough, or add herbs and garlic... it's really up to you :)

I'm so glad they worked with your buckwheat flour. I wanted to get some to make buckwheat pancakes, but I may have to try the buckwheat with this recipe too :)
