  • Eat it and log it or don't eat it. Why would the event have anything to do with whether you log or not? It's just a football game, and unless you're on the team, has no impact on you.
  • I just got my first jar of this myself - the chocolate flavor. I put some in vanilla light Greek yogurt (the Light and Fit) and used it as dip for a banana. It was heavenly.
  • The four trips from the bed to the bathroom in the middle of the night add some decent steps to my FitBit.
  • It's the checkmark in the upper right corner of the screen. Not super obvious. EDIT: Wait. If you're using the APP, it's the checkmark. If you're accessing the database through the website, then all that will do is show you info. You need to go into your diary and add food to the meal you want to add it to, then search the…
  • Logging EVERYTHING, and skipping things to make sure I'm in under my calorie goal for the day. I'm letting myself have all the turkey I want, but no potatoes, stuffing or rolls/bread. And maybe 2 bites of dessert off my husband's plate. Unfortunately, I'm not cooking today so I can't pre-log.
  • I'm absolutely counting! I briefly hit my goal weight last week, and have been up a little bit since then. I want to hit that number "permanently" by December 1, so I WILL be at a deficit tomorrow. And my gym is closed tomorrow, so I'll have to get outside in the cold to get some activity in (but that's also why I'm…
  • Unless eating things is part of the job description, then actually consuming the food - or not - at an office party does not affect one's employability. And since it was an office PARTY, it's a social event, and one is free to skip all the food should they not want to or be unable to eat it.
  • I'm in completely different things than I was last year at this time. Donna mentioned wearing more skirts/dresses and tucking things in - YES. THIS. I will actually tuck things in now, or buy cute everyday dresses just to wear without a specific occasion in mind. Heck, I've got a pair of leggings on now that I never in a…
  • I think the biting belongs in a whole different thread.
  • I do, to some extent. I bought a bag of clearance Halloween candy for little daily treats, put it in a basket on the counter, and was fine eating a piece a day while my husband was out of town. Once he got home, though, I realized that it makes me crazy to hear him digging around in it and to see him eating several pieces…
  • Oh, I know exactly what you're feeling. You can do it - just take one day at a time and you'll get there. You'll find your weight loss groove. It may take a couple of months, but you WILL hit a point when it becomes a little easier.
  • And depending on how much breast tissue you have vs. fat, you may find that as you lose weight, the reduction isn't necessary. I went from a 38K in January (at about 210 lbs) to a 34DD now (at 140). I never in a million years expected to see such a drastic difference in bust size - a cup size or 2, sure, but not 7. Being…
  • BMR is what your body needs to function if you were in a coma. You need to take in more than that. If your TDEE is 2460, try 20% below that, which would put you around 1970.
  • Cup size is dependent on band size - a DD cup on a 36 band is smaller than a DD cup on a 42. That was just informative, for people who think that their breasts stayed the same because the letter is the same. How much your breasts change size and shape will depend greatly on how much breast tissue you have compared to fat…
  • I think about how bad I'll feel about myself and my choices when I do eat something that's less than optimal and close out my diary without getting the "and was below her calorie goal" message. I want to hit my weight loss goal having seen that phrase every single day. When someone else is offering, I find that saying "I…
  • I'd been disgusted by pictures of me for years, even before I got really heavy. That's why I'd try to be the person taking the pictures - so I wouldn't be in them. If I was forced to be in a picture, I'd try to stand in the back and purposely place myself behind someone tall that that even more of be would be obscured. My…
  • I also have large calves, that I refer to as my Calves of Doom™. The only real way to thin them down is to lose overall body fat. There's no way to spot reduce. I'm getting to the point that I will have to resolve myself to the fact that I'll always need to look for wide-calf boots and knee socks that stretch a LOT.
  • To maintain my streak of going to the gym every day. Today was day 48.
  • What SundayGirl said - just use it instead of ground beef. It has less "meaty" flavor than beef, so foods that have lots of spices will help it not be so bland, like chili, sloppy joes, tacos, etc.
  • It's a subscription box service that sends healthy-ish snacks every 2 or 4 weeks. They're packaged in individual servings, and there's a rating system on their website, so you can indicate which ones you like and which you don't. They've been in the UK for a while, and opened up a few months ago in the US, but through…
  • My code has one use on it still: https://www.graze.com/us/p/ANNS8GCPU It will get you first and fifth boxes free.
  • There are some cracker and baked items that aren't mass-market items. And not all of it is dried fruit. Plus, sometimes it's good to try something without having to buy a whole bag of it. If there is something I can find locally that I decide I like, then I can buy it at the local store and take it off my preferences list…
  • I've got a code, too, if anyone's still looking: ANNS8GCPP It's a US code, should get you first and fifth boxes free.
  • Great job!
  • Potassium! If you don't like bananas (I don't), have a few dates. Or add some beans to your diet, which will also add fiber. And, yeah, add activity gradually, then follow it with some stretching. And a nice warm soak is good for leg aches in general.
  • Hbazzell said: Try jeans that are identified as "Curvy Cut." They're made for women with a bigger difference between waist and hips, and are sometimes a little fuller in the thigh as well. I found a pair of the Levi's curvy cuts (I think they're 529) and I LOVE them.
  • One step (and bite) at a time. You can do this! Just take it slowly, and make little changes at a time so you aren't overwhelmed.
  • Great job! I agree with the above poster that you look like a different person.
  • A GOOD sports bra that comes in actual sizes, not the compression uni-boob type, will change your life. When I started working out in January, I was in a 38 K and Panache and Freya sports bras helped make workouts a little more bearable. I use herroom.com for a lot of my bra shopping. But I also recommend that you go to a…
  • It might be excess skin, too. My bingo wings started looking a little better when I started remembering to moisturize the skin to help its resilience.
