  • Thanks for your advice, just wanted to get an idea what other shorties keep their calorie levels around! Ya I got down to 128lb through eating 1200 or less than went off the wagon and shot back up to 145lb. So trying to do it the right way around now and build more muscle - I have an apple shaped body so all the weight…
  • I buy flaked almonds and toast them (under the grill/dry pan), sprinkle with cinnamon and serve with blueberries. So for around 150 cals, go for 20g flaked almonds and 1/2 cup of blueberries. Make sure to get flaked almonds as they have a better crispy texture and look more substantial than plain old raw almonds!
  • Yeah its more circuit training than anything, the stenght circuit is very easy - however, I have no upper body strength whatsoever, my calves and thighs are toned and muscly but the rest of me is really flabby so I'm looking to include some proper weight lifting 3 times a week.
  • I will check that out - thanks :) Just seen your thread which prompted me to post this topic - you look frickin' awesome!
  • Thanks, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to lifting. I started the 30 day shred today - this time I'm determined to get past level 1. I have used 3 lb weights over the last few weeks but I find them a bit light and haven't noticed much of a difference - didn't realise I could start using weights over 5 lbs so I'll move to…
  • I've done a 4 day water fast and felt great after it. Was just wondering if there were other people who had experience with fasting and what not as I am a little apprehensive about extending a water fast beyond 3 or 4 days... I've read up on how plenty of people have fasted from 21-40 days and been fine after it so didn't…
  • You're gorgeous, you're like Christina Hendricks with your curves! Great progress, keep up the hard work! I doubt you have 54lbs to lose, I say 28lbs and you'd be absolutely stunning!! As for the bra size, the first 28lbs made no difference to my bra size but my boobs nearly disappeared when I went onto lose the next 14lbs…
  • Wow. You look amazeballs! Keep up the hard work! I'm also 5ft2" and weight around 140lbs, unfortunately, ALL of my excess weight goes to my midsection so I would kill to get my weight down to where you're at now and have that flat tummy so thanks for the inspiration! :) Just wondering how many calories did you try to…
  • May I ask what or who fathead is in reference to there?
  • Ya I just thought it was an interesting read, I can understand your point of view, apparently the atkins fat fast diet with <90% fat ratios was devised in order to be most effective for those with metabolic resistant disorders such as thyroid dysfunction and to only be used for a period of 5 days. Personally, I believe…
  • I would have assumed that high protein diets would be provide to most effective fat loss results, however, interestingly I found research to state otherwise - check it out for yourself "Next, Kekwick and Pawan [the researchers in a 1956 study] put obese subjects on one of four different diets. The diets all had the same…
  • It varies from person to person but yes losing weight can help decrease your breast size. In my case, I lost around 30-40 lbs and went from a 38G to a 32F/34E which has made a huge difference, especially considering I'm only 5ft2 having a 38G size boobs just made me look ridiculously out of proportion and made clothes…
  • Thank you all so much for your lovely, generous encouragement. You're all too kind. Just hit a plateau at the moment so trying to boost the motivation to remind myself it'll take time but I'll get to my goal :) At least my BMI is in the 'healthy' range now!
  • Heres the only before I can find, I'm 5ft2 and weigh around 170lbs now I weigh around 128lbs. I still have another 14-21lbs to go.
  • I love milk though :/ and can't drink soya milk cause its so bad for my thyroid
  • I have cut out gluten completely but my doctor said my gut needs to heal so it might take a few weeks to show a real difference. Turns out, my gluten intolerance gave me an under-active thyroid (currently have goitre) so basically my hormones are all over the place but thankfully I'm working to resolve these issues by…
  • I get very bad bloating, recently found out I'm a coeliac so hopefully once my gut heals I'll be less bloated. I also live off chewing gum/herbal mints and diet coke :/ and sweetener. I thought cutting out all white flour, wheat and limiting potatoes/crisps/pasta/rice would help but maybe I should revise that further and…
  • Thanks guys. I have PCOS as well so weight tends to go straight to the belly and just found out I'm a coleiac, it'll be killer to get rid of it but I feel alot more positive and motivated after all your encouragement and advice. I might start off with that 30 day shred dvd and see how I can get on. I don't mind what weight…
  • Thanks guys, I've started toning up a little since that photo is a few weeks old. I use to have a big bum and my chest went down from a snug fitting 38G to a 34DD but my stomach id still massive, I'll probably go down to an A cup before that tummy gets flat lol. Anyways I will really focus on lifting weights from now on…
  • Thanks for the reply :) Very informative. I would've loved to have studied dietetics, say its a very interesting discipline.

  • Thanks for the replies. I already eat and exercise healthily, have dropped 3 stone and only have 1 more stone to go but recently hit a plateau but thought this particular supplement would help boost my metabolism since my friend has such a high opinion of it. Think I'll reconsider taking it anymore though. I usually only…
  • I'm 21 and 5ft2. My HW was 170lbs, CW -128, GW -119, UGW - 105-110. Currently, 128lb but all my excess weight is in my stomach which has only recently began to shrink at all. I'm a size 8-10 (UK) in jeans but a 12-14 (UK) on top! The lightest I can remember weighing was 140lbs when I was 14 so this probably the lighest…
  • Thanks for the great advice :) I'll check that out, suppose I can't complain about getting to eat more and still getting to lose weight!
  • I currently follow a low carb/high fat/med protein - keeping my carb intake around 25%-30% so that's why I feel so full. I usually have small bowl of porridge or eggs in morning, snack on nuts/berries/cheese/soup for lunch and protein and veggies for dinner, with a snack of 2 squares of dark chocolate and a cup of tea. I…
  • Thanks guys. Has this worked for any of you guys? I read up on that. I tried to up my calorie intake today but I've ate just shy of a 1000 today and I just feel sick like I can't eat anymore. Also how much more should I eat? I don't want to overdo it. I'm suppose to eat 1200 a day but I usually average at a 1000 or less.
  • Congratulations you look great! Thanks for the inspiration. I am 5ft2 my heaviest I was 170lb now 130lb so another 14lb or so to go. I find that low carb is the only thing that works for me too but I do find that strength training really helps as well its just finding what routine or moves suit you. For instance, I like…
  • Hi, Any good quality generic brand of dark chocolate will do (minimum- 70% cocoa solids) and I think the extra light soft cheese is called soft cream cheese in the U.S. such as Philadelphia Fat Free soft cream cheese. Hope this helps! :)
