How do you get rid of the last 14lbs?

Hi there,
I've lost about three stone or 42lbs but I feel I have recently hit a plateau with my weight loss as eating my normal 1000-1200 calories per day with light cardio and strength training isn't making the weight come off as it usually does. I've heard that it becomes more difficult to shift those last few pounds so just wondering if anyone has any advice.
So yeah, has anyone any tips on how to get rid of those last stubborn pounds of fat?

This is going to sound crazy - eat more.
Your metabolism has adjusted to compensate for your low intake, so you need to boost it back up.0 -
Eat more. Weird, but true.
But basically, eat less than your burning (but fuel yourself properly, not like now) and it'll come off. Be patient.0 -
Thanks guys. Has this worked for any of you guys? I read up on that. I tried to up my calorie intake today but I've ate just shy of a 1000 today and I just feel sick like I can't eat anymore. Also how much more should I eat? I don't want to overdo it. I'm suppose to eat 1200 a day but I usually average at a 1000 or less.0

yes, eat more and keep exercising. If you haven't yet find out what your TDEE is and eat close to that, maybe a small deficit; eat at least what your BMR is always! those two numbers are crucial to understand to maintain the healthy lifestyle/ weight loss. Your metabolism just needs a reboot. You may gain a little initially but give it time and stick with it and the weight will come off! Good luck :happy:0

I've got that last 14lbs to go too! I've lost just under 4 stone (55lbs) so far.
My personal trainer says that weight loss will slow down now because I haven't got that much fat left and my body wants to hold onto it! Also I've been doing a lot more weights work and he says that'll slow down the weight loss for a bit.
Make sure you take measurements if you don't already.0 -
Eat low carb/high fat/med protein. The fat & the carbs fill you up & stabilize your blood sugar so you shouldn't feel hungry. You could also try a 500 cal fast once a week, but if you're only eating 1000 cals a day, looks like you need to look at what your eating & address that.

I currently follow a low carb/high fat/med protein - keeping my carb intake around 25%-30% so that's why I feel so full. I usually have small bowl of porridge or eggs in morning, snack on nuts/berries/cheese/soup for lunch and protein and veggies for dinner, with a snack of 2 squares of dark chocolate and a cup of tea. I also eat gluten free. I might have an occasional potato or rice once a week. So other than the fact that I eat way tooo much sweetener, I think the foods I eat are healthy. Suppose I can just increase the portion size of these foods then, thanks0 -

1000-1200 will not get the last 10-20 off. Eat more and workout more then eat more. The foods you are eating are good you just need more.0
