This is what I do as well.

Awesome job, great work!

This honestly had not occurred to me... I will try it. :)

Absolutely awesome. Great NSV, congrats!

Remarkable. Congratulations on your achievements. And I love love love this: 'Success comes from consistency, intensity, and time...not perfection'.

Those abs! Amazing work, you must be so proud. Congrats.

I want you to look like her too. I want all girls to look like her.

Awesome work man. Great motivation for me, thanks for posting!

Awesome work man. I am doing things very much the same way as you. It's not about extreme measures. Small changes over time is the way to go. Nice job!

Why in the success stories forum with this? There's a general weight loss forum which would be a more logical place to put a question such as this.

I still use the word "junk", just not on these forums due to the instant backlash  . My wife and I have the same understanding of the word as the long form definition you used, @Sarauk2sf , however it's just too much of a mouthful to be clarifying all the time. I definitely have better weight loss results when I…

Just to add to this, having the numbers in place allows me to not stress about the bouncing up and down that the scale does on a day to day basis. I can look at my calorie inputs and estimated burns (via my fitbit) and feel confident that I am doing the right things. The process is really all that I can control, the…

My wife is down about 25 pounds so far after she had our 4th kid last June. We started tracking calories in October, started exercising regularly in January with SL 5x5 and cardio on alternating days. Lately the exercise has fallen off a bit due to the nice weather and social events, but she's still losing just by staying…

Freaking awesome work man. Very nice to see, my shape was/is (but improving) similar to your before, nice to see the hard work paying off.

Because chocolate?

Thanks to all who responded, btw. Appreciated.

Great response, thanks. As is typical, we're both trying to lose weight and retain lean mass in the process, not super specific goals beyond that. I'll show her the responses here, lots of good things for her to chew on.

The issue with the deloads is on OH press, she really has almost no room to progress from just the bar. She does 45, then 50, then 55, then fails at 57 (we have some one pound ankle weights that are posing as fractional plates currently), fails at 57 a couple more times, then deloads per the SL app to 45 and starts again.

Goosebumps. So amazing. Hat tip to you good sir.

Have you looked into the price? How much does it cost for the surgery?
-
Hey Sam, you seem super negative. I haven't seen this anti-male bias you're speaking of. In any case, you've obviously lost a lot of weight and are crazy dedicated, so awesome work! Sorry your skin hasn't tightened up, hopefully it continues to improve or you can get the surgery at some point. I've got another 70-90 pounds…

I really like this advice. Thanks.

This is me. I only log "high" calorie vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, that sort of thing. If I have a garden salad with no dressing, I don't even bother putting it in.

Also, with only 9 pounds to lose, 1.5 loss per week seems pretty high. I'd try setting it to 1lb or .5lb per week and adjust from there.

I haven't looked at your diary or anything, but I would say it sounds like you are on the right track. Check out trendweight.com, it's really good for removing the noise around weight bouncing around and helping you see the true trend line. This is what mine looks like, FYI, just to give you an idea. You can see the trend…

Exactly. If I can slide my work pants down without unbuttoning, I drop to the next size. Just started wearing 40" waist khaki's this week, down from 44's in January. Good times!

Wonderful job!

Congrats, great progress! BTW, I find imgur or photobucket much friendlier for hosting pics to post on forums like these. They even have a nice "forum" url to just copy and paste into your post.
