I hear ya, I love to dance! So easy to over do it, which is why I don't do it in heels anymore.:ohwell:
-
Sure, that counts! I hope you logged it as exercise too!

Oh my!! That must've been awful (but it makes for a great story - thanks for sharing!)

Personally I can't stand the taste of lowfat or fatfree yogurt. Even the greek bands leave a sour aftertaste that I just don't enjoy. For me, it's full fat (whole milk) plain yogurt, which I enjoy so much I eat it every single day, sometimes twice a day! I haven't tried the greek full fat variety though, may have to try…

I totally agree! You need to (IMO) come up with an eating plan that is sustainable for life. Similar to other posters on this thread, in my own experience, I eat a lot more fruits, veggies and dairy than I did before joining MFP, and I feel fantastic. I also eat yogurt every single day, something I never did before because…

I was having similar problems, then I tightened my strap and not the readings are fine. Another unexpected benefit from losing weight/inches!

You look fabulous!!! Congratulations on such an amazing accomplishment,. You have truly worked hard and it shows. :drinker:

Yikes! :noway: I'll have to think about that! LOL!!!

Thanks so much for your nice comments! It's people like you that make this website such a wonderful place to be! I honestly would not have had the commitment to my eating plan if it was not for MFP and the supportive forums which are full of helpful information and incredibly positive people! You all rock!! :flowerforyou:

I belong to a gym in the US that costs $50/month and it's worth every penny. While I prefer to get my exercise outdoors, it's not always possible (weather, daylight factors) so I finally broke down and joined. I love the variety it affords me: I can do cardio on the machines and use a multitude of strengthening devices, I…

Wow, thanks! Ive actually been wondering that since I heard it on a TV show many years ago LOL! Not legal in most states

Very carefully! If a bear walks by a window that is southern exposure, what color is the bear?

You're both banned for fighting over who gets to ban me! @antiadipose you are banned for having such a clever screen name while mine only confuses people...

I took my dog on a 1 hr+ hike this morning before work. Surprisingly I burned as many calories as I do at the gym, doing 30 min cardio + 30 minutes weights. At least that's what my HRM told me.

I love your philosophy! You are a very kind and warm person.:flowerforyou: There, now I only have to find two more people to be nice to today!

Actually I sauteed the leaves tonight in olive oil & garlic, added to whole wheat pasta and sqeezed a lemon over the whole thing. Tasted very healthy. And after googling last night, I think the leaves do make an excellent addition to chicken soup!

I recently paid a similar compliment to a lady at my gym. I've seen her most mornings, and when I first joined 1 1/2 years ago, she was very overweight, with teriible posture, and she walked very slowly and painfully with a cane. Now, she has lost some weight, stands upright, and does laps on the indoor track at a good…

Banned for not checking your time zones...it is 9pm here, and my day will end in a couple of hours. Banned again for staying up so late - don't you have to get up for something in the morning?
-
Banned, all of you! For starting this awesome game too early in the day when I am working and can't play until I get home in the late evening :grumble:
-
That does sound good, thanks! Also, does anyone know how to prepare the leaves? Can I just saute them in garlic & olive oil and drizzle with lemon juice, like I would with kale, spinach or any other greens? Or are they too bitter/tough/not tasty enough to bother?

By that logic, one could also say that if I drank 8 oz of water and then munched on some whole oats I would count the water, therefore cooking my oatmeal in water count! Personally I only count water as water. Plus, I don't feel as if my thirst has been quenched when I drink tea, coffee, broth, etc. Anything with…

My mom used to freeze bananas as a healthy frozen treat for us, and they are delicious. I can see how mashed up they would be devine! What a great idea, thank you for sharing!

I hit my goal in mid-April but still log every calorie faithfully. Unlike what many have recommended, I didn't gradually up my intake though, I went BAM! Head first into my 1800 calories per day with great joy! Some days I am a little over, some days a little under, but in general I try to stay between 1800-1900 net…

I've given up overestimating the consideration level of my fellow humans and wipe down the machines I use before and afterwards. Oops - did that come out a little to harshly? :ohwell:

You are the disclaimer indeed! Mama warned me I'd meet boys like you.... That's great that you can maintain such a high level of fitness - nice work. Seriously though, for people who are overweight, with a much higher percentage of body fat then is healthy, the BMI is a good starting point for them. Clearly, an…

Why? You asked a valid question and received a lot of feedback. That's what these forums are for.
