  • Running has increased my stamina....:blushing: Also, great for clearing my mind, turning around a bad mood, and while you can't actually spot reduce, I feel like running is what has finally got my thighs shrking a big. BUT, without strength training, I dont' think my running would have progressed as well as it has and I…
  • NKOTB!!! LOL. I'm here...hangin' tough, eating well, running and living and stuff!
  • My husband, due to severe colic, reflux and undiagnosed formula/milk sensitivies was fed "traditional" formula, with corn syrup and powdered milk etc. Anyway, he was 40 ish pounds by the time he was 1. But, he didn't gain any weight after that and just continued to grow taller - at 4 he was only 2 pounds heavier. My own…
  • Happy birthday!
  • I find that on the afternoons of my long runs (Saturday or Sunday mornings) I am ready to crash, hard. But, kids and week-end commitments/responsibilities won't allow that, so, I make sure that I'm fuelling my body well, have a coke zero, and get moving with the kids. Later that night I'm in bed by 9:30! On the evenings…
  • The only problem that I ran in to when I did 30DS and Ripped in 30 was the low ceiling height in my basement didn't give me enough clearance for some of the arm movements. But everything else I managed to push through, my struggles were related to being poorly out of shape rather than my height.
  • Kettlebell swings....and other kettlebell exercises in general. Since incorporating these into my strength training I have noticed my lower stomach is flatter. Also, planks and deadlifts.
  • No music for me. I prefer to listen to my body, my surroundings and let my head be free. There is too much "noise" in the rest of my days, this is my time for clarity.
  • I will buy your black licorice off of you. Yummy.
  • I made this over the week-end - only I didn't frost the entire thing with the cool whip, we just scooped some on top. I cut my 9x13 cake into 18 squares, and with my boxed cake mix and pineapple brands here are the nutrition details per square: Calories: 29 Carbs: 7 Fat: 0 Protein: 0 Sodium: 23 It was no nice and light...a…
  • Congratulations on your accomplishment. Take time to feel proud of yourself!! I am motivated by your post - I am training for my first half coming up in October, but had to really cut back on runs the last 2 weeks due to some nagging pains, and like you I increased my strength/cross training. When I ran a short 5 K on…
  • The only thing that I like Miracle Whip for is to use it as a dip for Grilled Cheese sandwiches or french fries. I use mayo on my sandwiches, but the knockoff Kirkland brand.
  • ^^QFT. I hate the "frosting", but the chocolate cookies are yummy.
  • Crock Pot Centre Pork Loin Roast with Cabbage, Carrots and Onion.
  • Sounds yummy, going to give this a try.
  • Monday to Friday I log/build my day from the middle out, ending with breakfast because I eat pretty close to the same thing every morning. So, I make my lunch, log it. Then my morning and afternoon snacks, then I plan and log dinner as I take the meat out of the freezer. Then, as I'm eating my breakfast I log it in. On the…
  • I like to marinate my pork with a mixture of: lemon juice lemon zest olive oil (sparingly) cayenne pepper basil garlic sea salt (sparingly) chives
  • I pack 2 snacks and a lunch to take to work. Normally they include the following: Morning Snack: 1/2 - 3/4 cup of greek yogurt fruit - now that it's summer I'll make a box of fruit; 6-8 strawberries, 6-8 cherries, 1/2 peach, 1/2 orange Sometimes Apple sauce Lunch: Almost always bring leftovers from supper the night before…

  • I don't ususally record my spices/herbs, I also don't record the odd nibble here and there - a spoonful of my son's breakfast cereal, or, a taste of DH whiskey.
  • I have found that when introducing new veggies to my kids (6 and 4) I prepare it with minimal spices/sauces and serve it in a fun way. Like kabobs, or we eat with chopsticks. Sometimes I will lay their plates out with a picture. My kids are more interested in at least trying food when it looks like it might be fun to eat.…
  • I eat oatmeal 6 days out of 7. I will switch to a dry cereal (that has a 1 cup serving size minimum) only when I know that I'll be higher in the cals later in the day, and I make sure that I have extra protein in my morning snack. But, in the past I have tried to have quinoa for breakfast - I heated it with 1% milk,…

  • I just ate mini-carrots, sitting at my desk, alternating between the forums and playing bubble-blasting games on my phone. 2 more hours until my daughter's gymnastics display.
  • Dream Job: I don't know if it has a title - office manager would likely be closest; budgets, customer service, marketing, PR, bookkeeping Actual Job: Accounting Supervisor
  • I believe people will do what they say; and man oh man have I been hurt/burned/disappointed etc. by this.
  • I can not live without Peanut Butter Bacon Cheese BTW - these 3 items on top of toast is a FABULOUS breakfast. LOL
  • This was me too. My doctor needed to put the freezing into 3 different areas too, thanks to my degree of tearing. I don't really remember saying anything funny - although, I do remember having to hang off hubby's shoulders during the transition stage with my first, and slow dancing with him. I politely told him that I was…
  • Subaru Tribecca. Great makes of vehicle, we have a forester, which is a smaller SUV, and no 3rd row option like the tribecca, but overall the make of vehicle is wonderful. All wheel drive gives you control all the time.
