I have never even considered reporting anyone. I am an adult I outgrew "telling on people" when I was 10. There are jerks in the world learn to deal with them.

Looks like your wt loss is tracking mine. I have lost 17 lbs in 15 weeks, I hit a plateau every 3 lbs. Just stick with it, take solace it better fitting clothes.

I passed my Series 66 exam today which makes me a completely licensed with the SEC. Now I can start my new company.

This is the best system I ever used. I cannot recommend it enough. http://www.jeffgalloway.com/

I lift and bike on 3 days and run the other 3 with one rest day. Both my strength and endurance are coming back. Unless you are training for the Olympics it is really hard to do anything bad as long as you are doing something.

First advice don't get your nutrition advice on these blogs. MFP is a great support network it is horrible for quality advice. Hire a nutritionists or go the the Mayo clinic's web site for real honest plans.
-
Sarah did you seriously unfriend me because I disagreed with you on this topic. What is wrong with people here?

What is frustrating on these boards is how people stick to bad advice even when presented with actually scientific evidence. I don't know if being a couch potato disqualifies anyone from being a scientist. The facts are if you have stores of fat and are working out you can gain muscle and lose weight. The question was…

I shower daily, anything else is just unhealthy.

Run or bike ride.

Untrained and "clinically obese" is most of the people on MFP. In fact it is most of the US. So that answers the questions doesn't it. Most people can gain muscle on a deficit.

^EXACTLY

So for me, since Nov. I have been running a calorie deficit. My starting wt. was 220 BF 25%,my waist was 38 my thigh 21 and my biceps 15. Today I am 205 17%BF waist 34, thighs 22 and biceps 16 1/4. Did this not happen? Or am I another anomaly. A perfectly lean body builder cannot gain muscle in a deficit but if you have…

The Livestrong article cited 3 University studies.

http://www.livestrong.com/article/388082-can-you-lose-muscle-by-losing-weight/ Of course you can add muscle and lose weight. It happens all the time. For instance if you weigh 220 and have 30% BF and you drop to 200 but have 15% BF you have lost 20 lbs but gained lean muscle mass.

Yes they do.
-
My sense of sarcasm just does not work on MFP. :-)
-
What if I just eat my exercise calories but don't eat my BMR calories? Will that work?
-
Great story.
-
Not only are they unnecessary they can be dangerous.

what is less offensive cougar or MILF?

Do you have to be gullible and completely uniformed to post on the subject of nutrition here or does it just work out that way? There is not milk conspiracy, milk is healthy. Calcium and vitamin D are both essential for weight regulation.. Worry about eating processed foods, don't worry about the whole foods. Just eat it…

Seriously drop $100 and get a consult with a nutritionists. The amount of boneheaded advice here is amazing.

A little, there is no arc on a smith. Do you have a cybex machine or you can do dumbell bench press. You should always have a spot, it will help a lot! Or just stick with push ups. There are dozens of variations.
-
It may just be mental too. If you are intimidated by the bar you won't get a good lift. Are you using a spot you trust?

At my current weight, 206 (I am 5'11) I consider myself overweight, but, even when I get to my target of 185 my BMI will still be over weight. I think BMI is useless. BF% and frankly blood chemistry are more important health factors.

A round *kitten* is like other genetic gifts. You either have one or your don't. It is why some people are good sprinters and some are good at distances, to some extent we are what mother nature made us to be. All these exercises will improve your muscle strength but you are not likely to build a J-Lo butt anymore than you…

^ Totally correct. Whatever the pros and cons may be on weight loss, the worst thing about going into ketosis is it gives you serious dog breath. If you don't mind that go for it.

Most of my FL is 40 somethings. It is a great motivator seeing others refuse to get old.
