I fully understand how guys can be stupid, but, I don't understand why anyone has to be mean. Sorry he was a jerk to you.

Your journey to being healthy is more important than the destination to be fit. I never really smoked, so I cannot speak to how hard it is to quit. But, I've fought the battle of the bulge many times. Do log your food so your know what you're eating, even if you are gaining or just not loosing. Do learn about the foods you…

Ditto on that comment. Its what I hope. Unfortunately, there are complete A-WOLEs who get off on making other people feel bad. I just had a complete A-WOLE experience yesterday that had me flabbergasted, but, it was just verbal. You made me feel better by sharing.

I have to say that most people did NOT notice my early weight loss. From 205 pounds down to 180, only my mom and a handful of ppl noticed. Then when I dropped to the 170s more people noticed. I went out last month and bought clothes that fit, now lots of ppl notice.

What a transformation! Be Proud, Be Happy! You deserve to be.

I so, SO, know what you are talking about. I finally look great everywhere, except that fargin' pudge pocket that just won't go away. It is smaller but still there. Everything I've read just says stick with it, its will shed from there too. And it isn't as thick when I pinch it.

Great job, it really shows.

Every time I pass the scale, even if I just weighed in an hour before, I know its the wrong answer, but its true. It's not as bad as it sounds because I don't have a working scale at home. On MFP, I always record my first weigh in of the day.

I haven't been doing quite that. When my current jeans get comfy, not baggy, just comfy, I buy a pair of jeans that just barely big enough. But, not so tight I can't breath. The tightness of them reminds me all day that I will not be able to wear them continually if I don't eat right. Also reminds me to pull my abs in. I…

I am pretty happy with how I look. I'm 48 and think I look better than my prior best, 24. And today someone in Yoga said I was looking great. ;-D

Over the past year I've lost 1/6 of my body weight while toning up. 1 lbs a week or less. Each time I hit a plateau, I made adjustments to my diet, exercise or both until I was able to make progress again. I lost about 40 lbs so far. I don't plan to lose much more. I still have a bit of a stomach, It's the last thing I…

SmilingGiriShe, I didn't even know about myfitnesspal until November, so most of my weight loss occurred before I joined. I lost 40 lbs total. Everyone, Thanks for the support and kind words, my vanity is always ready for a good stroking.

I just posted mine yesterday, so I don't want to repeat already. But just wanted to say you're making progress and lookin' good.
