Hi Dee and Welcome... I started 1/3/12 after seeing pix of me in Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve!🎉... I’m almost at 3,000 days. This site is fabulous... you can have lots of friends or be selective and have a handful. Some friends disappear or never log... ,but you will find friends that “stick it out” or return. Best wishes…

Good for you! I’m 67 and I’ve been on this site more that 2525 days!!! I was about 185 and now I stay in the 130s. I didn’t have as much to lose as you BUT It’s my “conscience” I must answer to. Best of luck... add me if you’d like! Ann

You had me at "pro military/law enforcement" and "the outdoors"! My dad was WW2 Vet lived with us 6years after mom died, brother was in Army (served at Pentagon as artist making signs/posters), I stand for the National anthem so now I removed NFL decals off my car and don't go to games or watch on tv, and I was high school…

I'm 66 and reached 2000 days yesterday with one of my buddies reaching 1000 days as well!!!! I've been up and down but never to my original high that brought me to MFP. I'm also "attached at the hip" to my "pill size" Fitbit. I was an "event dieter"... I'd lose weight for weddings, high school reunions, etc... now I'm…

I'm low carbing again... I'm an "event dieter"! I looked fab in 2004 for son's wedding, I looked fab for husband's high school reunion, I look in 2015 fab for daughter's wedding!.... low carbing melts you down fast... I'm on my way down again! I miss all those nice clothes I haven't worn for awhile! My hubby is NO carbing,…

I smoked for 40 years, and I quit smoking (in one night) on Jan. 5, 2007. I had dinner with a boyfriend from 1969. I was divorced for 12 years (after a 25 year first marriage), and he was in a divorce (after a 32 year first marriage) and he found me. This was a "second chance" and I never picked smoking up again... we…

I'll send invites to y'all. Many of my original friends no longer post. Joined January 2012 so I have over 1800 days in a row! More than willing to support others! Happy Holidays!

You joined for support and you can find a gazillion peeps fighting the same "war" you are right here. Your 20 pounds of frustration may be 5 pounds to others... it's still a "war". Even when I have bad days I log on this site because it's my lifeline reminding me of my goal... and I'm over 1,800 days in a row! Add me if…

You can add me. I'm on MFP almost 1,800 days. There are ups and downs but this site keeps me from totally losing my mind or waistline
-
I always noticed success at 10 lb. intervals. Up or down gave me bad or good news... I'm a yo-yo dieter and have waaaayyy too many clothes. My best to you on your journey. I'm guessing your clothes size will not only be based on pounds but also your body type. Don't get discouraged.

Wow! Reading your post will be my motivator today! I'm on MFP almost 1,800 days... I know a gazillion ups and downs during that time but it never makes me "cut the chord" from MFP or my Fitbit! Today I will eat right in your honor! Remember to tell yourself "TGIF... Thank God I'm Fabulous"!
-
Feel free to add me, too. I'm on MFP almost 1,800 days. Ups and downs but won't give up... the alternative is scarey! Good luck!

Hi and Welcome! I'm older than you but I'm sure glad you reach out and tell it like it is because weight loss effects all ages. I've been on MFP for 1,795 days and have had some great connections with people. They will come and go, but I recognize we have our good and bad times! You're welcome to add me to your buddy list!…

Feel free to add me... I have logged 1705 days in a row already (January 3, 2012). Good luck and congrats on new little one!
-
You look great and it's obvious you've done a lot of work towards your goal!!! Keep up the good work, and you can add me as a buddy anytime

I'm in...Intermediate! Yay!

Amber...sounds like you have a goal! YayU! Today is my 1,100 day on MFP. Feel free to "friend me".

It was me....I ate all the chocolates! If you think turning 40 is a 'kick in the pants', wait until you turn 60! Take out your pad and pencil and take notes... you lose muscle as you age... if you don't get in shape and spend time staying that way you will be disappointed in yourself later on. You can't turn the clock back…

Hi, I've been on MFP almost 670 days now... started so I could look good at second husband's reunion (of course!) I set my goals as 1,200 calories month #1, 1,100 calories month #2, and 1,000 month #3. I ate anything I wanted but I limited to those numbers plus no more than 39 fats per day (I used Alli) and goal of 10K…

Hey Liter9, I'm on MFP more than 650 days... and I can always use friends to keep things 'fresh'. Friend me anytime. Good Luck!
-
Welcome, Pep! Add me anytime... been on MFP more than 650 days but having new friends helps keep things "fresh"... Wishing much success on your journey.... a gazillion people here to help "pump you up" with support!
-
Glad to see you're being honest with yourself (step 1)... reaching out for support will help your journey. I'm on MFP for more than 600 days. Logging keeps me from gaining everything back.. now I have smaller gains when I'm not eating well or vacationing or stress... My history shows I'm very good at losing weight for an…

Great for you! You have the 2Hs... Honesty and Humor... good things to have on your latest journey. I've been on MFP for more than 600 days... not all good but not all bad. I think logging every day has kept me from repeating the 'old days' of gaining everything back when I'm not being honest with myself. Now they are…

Like your topic title... made me smile with the "play on words". I do the same occasionally. Lots of support your way on MFP... you found a community of people who care and don't judge and need the support just like you do. You can add me anytime... sounds like you have a goal so go out there and make your dreams come…

Hi N.C. My brother went to N.C.State in Raleigh in the late 1960's... does that count? Anyway, welcome to MFP... lots of people here will be pulling for your success and 'have your back'.... as long as you do the same you will have a growing list of buddies to help you reach your dreams! N2BZ

Great Job! I quit January 6, 2007 after 40 years. Wishing now I had done the same thing with a savings. Congrats!
