All heterosexual men like seeing naked women. So when I see posts like "my husband doesn't like strip clubs" or won't go with me, it is not because he does not like strange naked women. He is a lot smarter than you think. Going to a strip club with your girlfriend or wife is really stupid. There is no up side to this for…

Not psychology. Simple math. On high cardio days, I need more fuel so I eat more. On low cardio days, I need less fuel so I eat less. When I want to cut, I eat less on both high cardio and low cardio days.
-
Thank you. I will try that.

Start with small running steps at a faster pace. Work towards a smooth form-with minimal bouncing-glide. Look up the different running styles-like prose running, which is less stressful on knees. Experiment with different foods before you run to. I find I like a small apple before I run.

A solid routine- regimented, discipline, etc. No major blow up eating binges. Once you get into a good feedback routine- eating well-makes you feel well-which makes you want to eat better-which makes you feel better-which makes you look better- which makes you eat better-and so on.

Yes- free weights for most lifts- very few machine lifts at the end of a workout. I found little benefit from the machine lifts.

Agreed.

Further to my earlier post, when I was running long distance (15-20 mile runs) training for my marathons I was also lifting heavy three days a week- Monday chest/back, Wed- legs, and Thur-biceps/triceps/shoulders. I did not run on leg days and day after leg weight lifting. You do not have to run every day to get in shape…

Yes you can do both well. I ran six marathons, while being able to bench almost a hundred pounds over my weight. Barely affected my upper body strength. However, I kept eating large quantities of protein while I was training.

I try to avoid eating what makes me tired, sick or weak.

You have very lofty goals if you have a long way to go. You look great.
-
Concentrate on just the bad about the person.
-
I cannot go without my 2-4 cups coffee, latte, etc.
-
Two slices of apple wood smoked bacon and two whole eggs every morning. The fat gives me a nice even energy flow and the protein from the eggs is perfect.
-
All of them. If critics don't like the movie, I will usually go see it.
-
Pizza by far.
-
Thank you for the suggestions. I will try them.

You are right. Health first all the time. From your profile picture, I suspect the friends and family are envious. Going to the gym only during the week and eating like you want to eat is not "obsessive" or wrong in any way (unless its anorexia which you clearly do not have).

Artificial limitation. Building muscle on a deficit can be done, but it is difficult. Short answer- use stored body fat (many thousands of calories for energy) and use the consumed protein to build the muscle. Consumption of calories is not the only source of calories. You are leaving out the large source of calories from…

I have also cut out alcohol for a while. I have been through many dry and drinking phases. During the alcohol free phases I do notice that I can gain muscle faster and I recover better. However, I noticed no effect on cardio. Not sure about the weight loss. Cutting out the alcohol is hard on the mind. I use it to clean the…

I have been drinking whole milk almost every day for 40 plus years. My granfather lived to 92 doing the same. I am sure the soy milk, almond milk, fake milk, whatever drinkers will live much longer.

You obviously have not experienced great sex in which you end up in state of euphoria, are completely exhausted, and then go to a deep sleep. So there.

Not "more hungry"- satiated.
-
Have sex. It will take your mind off the hunger.

Partially true. In documentaries, when the cannibals are questioned they universally state that human meat is the sweetest of all. Thus, omnivores taste best.

Yes- I have been overweight, weak, injured, etc. However, whenever I looked in the mirror I saw no flaws-I liked myself and always had a positive attitude. I was able to change my diet and exercise without disliking myself. If you look negatively towards yourself (look for flaws in the mirror)-you will never like yourself…

I eat lower carb (less than 100 grams on low cardio days) not because of some diet fad. For me, carbs cause hunger pains. The portion control is far easier eating lower carb-simple as that. I try to avoid eating anything out of a package. I eat a lot a vegtables, meat (fish), whole milk, cheese, and fruits. I time my carbs…

The skin will tighten up over time. Change your attitude and the exercise and diet will get easier. Your choice to be happy/sad and to like/not like yourself. Focus on the positive when you look in the mirror-no flaws ever- and smile.

You can include me on that list.
