Wow, ate this all last week!
-
I could tweak it a litte, but these sound good!

I'm with you on this! Dried fruit it typically high glycemic too but maybe figs are alright. I was thinking more pastry though you are right. Fig newtons have white flour I think though...or "unbleached wheat flour" which is just as bad as white!
-
I think cool whip has added sweetners like malodextrin...but making my own would be a good idea, thanks!
-
Banana's are high glycemic but thats a good idea...i was thinking like cookies and stuff.
-
I started the fit test today and OH MANNNN, sweat everywhere!!! I burned about 453 cals doing about 40 minutes.
-
Yes, sorry....1.5 TSP of baking soda!!
-

Yea its crazy some of the things I never knew were high like pineapple, cantelope....I'd eat that all the time thinking it was super good for me LOL

You're not alone! I was just finally diagonsed with PCOS. After many years of doctors just telling me to "east less calories" or eat less carbs...I finally have an answer! I saw an endocrinologyst and she did blood work to determine that is what I had. Low Glycemic Index is the way to go IMO. Many books and sites recommend…

. I agree. As soon as I started eating a low glycemic diet, I lost 35-40 lbs in a matter of months. It was insane what that kind of diet can do for you. And I have spent YEARS of not being able to lose. I have a TON of recipes if anyone wants some ideas. Also a few sites I use a lot. Hope this helps!

Ok, that makes me feel better. I really hope the endo tells me its insulin resistance...not diabetes. It doesnt run in my family so I was a bit suprised about the glucose level. And glad you had such success on metformin. She suggested I go see the endo first to get a panel on my pancreas and such.
-
I have other symptoms of PCOS too. Not just the cysts. I need to get this glucose level under control though so hoping after I see the endocrynologyst I can get on metformin.
-
Well my AC1 or whatever that is was 5.8 which is high from what she said. They did an ultrasound today and verified i did have PCOS from all the cysts and folicles. I also was having a little numbness and tingling on my right foot...3 baby toes....but wasnt sure if it was from the glucose elevation or that I work out 2…

No **** LOL
-
Whatever, then eat them.
-
You do not want to eat the calories burned from working out.
-
Just amazing. You really value the one body you have. Unfortunately some people have to experience a life changing event to lose sometimes. So proud of you!
-
Aw thanks I think its growing on me too :)
