First run of the month and 7.79 miles...
-
'Man Flu' stopped me running for 12 days in March so missed my 75 miles target by 10 miles. Target of running 80 Miles in April and hope to be well enough to stay in the Lime all Month :)

Well done for getting out there Nancy, I find the hardest part of running sometimes is just putting my shoes on! Good luck with your plan and if any week gets hard do it again the following week - there is no shame in that - the plan works. I did the C25K a few years ago but just started running again late last Year. Still…

Gonna miss my march target by a Country Mile (well, several) due to the Flu affecting me for 2 weeks :(
-
For me Running Miles = Beer Tokens :)
-
Forgot to say, week 7 now and struggled so missed out the final set :( Managed 50/50/40/25.
-
Well done to everybody with the Challenge :) cmeirun, might be wise to take a few days off then come back 'guns' blazing ;) Good luck Banduintz and whatever time you do it will be a PB :) SWFLGUY, nice time, breaking that 30 min mark is a big boost :) And, just realised, you must be a guy from South West Florida?
-
Well done to both of you! Cmeirun, 66 is more than I've ever done so I bow to you :drinker: All I managed today was to create my Week 7 plan by adding a few to the Week 6 Col 3 tally (oh, I did mange 3 chin ups with a *kitten* in my mouth).

I concur with the Hal Higdon recommendations, and will be following an 18 week Marathon plan in May. Until then I'm just running (very) slowly and building up my base miles - base building would work for you as it's all easy miles so shouldn't injure you before your wedding (and congratulations btw).
-
Txs cmeirun :) am still not sure about next week, I may repeat Week 6 col 3 and add a few more to each set or try something different like 4 sets of (say) 50 then a fifth to exhaustion?
-
Well done cmeirun & glamchicka - excellent results from both of you :) I took last week off whilst recovering from (Man) flu and did an exhaustion test today, the previous test was 60 and wasn't sure how I'd fair after a week off but managed 63 so whilst it wasn't much of an improvement I hadn't lost any strength with the…

8.34 mile run today...
-
No running for a week as I have 'man flu' but managed 3.13 miles today.
-
Great work Mikey! Excellent work Ron! The way I tackled week 6 was to repeat it but move up a column (looks like your in col 1?). I completed week 6 col 3 last week but the dreaded 'man flu' has stopped me doing the final test though doubt I'll be able to do 100 in a single set yet so will either do as cmeirun suggests or…
-
Yup, looks ok to me, tough schedule but if anybody can do it I'm sure you can :)
-
SWFLGUY, well done and fingers crossed the stares are for your 'new' pecs and not the toilet paper ;) cmeirun, I'm with you and not knowing when to do them (though I've about given up on my resistance bands and need to pick them up again). Why not substitute them for your 'arm/chest' sessions for a couple of weeks?
-
Congratulations Andy & Mikey :) I'm having a few days off (recovering from flu) and think I'll create a Week 7 plan when I start again ;)
-
^^ditto :) Cmeirun, hope today was better and it was just an off day yesterday and your not coming down with anything?
-
Sorry I've not be around for a few days, 'Man flu' really knocked me back so no push-ups for a few days and think I'll do an exhaustion test in the next day or so to see how far back this set me. Congratulations to everybody for their excellent results :) Brandiuntz, good luck on your running! I'm a lot like you and have…
-
Is your running training for a particular race brandiuntz? I've been under the weather the last couple of days and had a bad night (we'll leave it at that) and think I now have full blown man-flu so my 8 mile run didn't happen and doubt I'll go out tomorrow either :( Not sure the 100g bar of chocolate was a good idea…
-
Had a couple of days off with a niggly calf muscle but was out today and managed a 6.2 mile run.
-
Newbie here just started Base Training with a HM in August and Marathon in September, purposefully running slowly at the minute trying to build up my base before training starts proper in May.
-
Always good to tick off 2 challenges with 1 workout ;) Am doing the 100 push-ups in 6 weeks Challenge and today managed 26/26/33/33/26/26/22/22/61 (Total = 275). Will think about the Super Challenge over the weekend but sit-ups tend to flare my back pain up.
-
Well, I for one am really impressed!! Here goes then Week 6, Day 3, Col 3, 90 second breaks, 26/26/33/33/26/26/22/22/61 = 275 Am coming down with a cold and spent most of this morning talking myself out of today's session but thanks to this group I went for it. The first 6 sets seemed ok but and was feeling it in my elbows…
-
I'll bite, shouldn't be too hard for me as I'm currently doing the 100 pushups in 6 weeks challenge :)
