  • When I create a recipe, I usually work backwards on this issue. Especially with soups, I take whatever bowl I would normally use to eat from and see how many it made. Then I go back and change the "servings". I guess at the beginning, almost always have to augment it :)
  • I take the fresh or thawed tilapia and place into shallow baking dish with PAM (so it doesn't stick). Then salt both sides and I love to add Lowry's seasoned pepper. It's great and no fat or carbs, just straight protiein.
  • For chickens, they are all roughly the same size. For that many people, you might need 2.
  • I am on a 40% Protein, 40% Carb, 20% Fat per my MD and personal trainer. At least those are my goals. I also had my resting metabolic rate done and was able to increase my calories from 1100 to 1400 as I have put on so much muscle, my burn is reached very easily. Actually the more I eat the more I lose. I was told that my…

I quite smoking 3 1/2 years ago, gained 20 pounds (was already about 80 pound overweight) and was diagnosed with Diabetes. 2 years ago, I joined a gym and began a year long plan to shed 100 pounds. 1 year later, had only lost 30 pounds but…

The neat thing the diet said is that Chocolate, Honey and Coffee are all 3 fat releasers. The book talked about the foods to increase in your diet…
  • I have access to a scale that monitors my lean body mass, my water weight and my fat. When I seem to be gaining it is either muscle from my workouts or (usually), it is an increase in water weight, which is stored in my muscles making them appear to be bigger. At any rate, I keep doing what I am doing and it all works out…
  • Me too! My kids asked me if I would do it and first I thought, Oh My that will mess up my cooking, then I quickly followed that thought with, "Heck yeah! Great idea". Good luck to you!
  • 3 years ago I quit smoking (to get healthy) and within a few weeks my doc told me I had Diabetes. I gained 20 pounds when I quit the cancer sticks. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but now, losing weight has become my new "hardest" thing. 2 years ago, I joined a gym and started working out, I had some great…
