  • Hummus and veggies? Not sure how much sodium is in hummus. No butter no salt popcorn, spray with cooking spray and add curry. Fruits always good. Toast with avocado.
  • I've been at 1560 for about a week, although I actually find that hard to do. I hang out between 1250-1400
  • I'm starting tomorrow! Just ate the last bit of meat in my apartment. Although not fully, I still eat eggs. Maybe I'll ween myself off them eventually. Once I get used to no meat or dairy. Mind if I follow for your diary?
  • Thanks everyone! I use a good scale so I'll measure it before I cook it.
  • I never can tell from the box, maybe I'm just blind. But when it says two ounces I'm never sure if it's cooked or not. Dry makes sense though.
  • If I'm dying then I'll eat a whole bag of light popcorn, usually with some hot sauce.
  • I like to use cottage cheese as a sauce for my pasta or a dressing for my salad. Sounds weird, and don't cook the cottage cheese but just mix it in some hot pasta. Today I loaded cottage cheese with cumin and made a vegetarian taco salad with kale and black beans and hot sauce. As a vegetarian I've just had make sure to…
  • Hello! I don't eat much meat, and I'm having a hard time reaching my iron goals. I don't usually eat beans either. Any suggestions? Also, I have a hard time with calcium. I eat yogurt and cottage cheese almost every day, and I've started drinking a glass of skim milk every day. Is there a miracle fruit or veggie with iron…
  • 3 eggs, sunny side up, half an avocado, a beefsteak tomato, half a cup spinach, half a cup cooked onion, broccoli and sriracha all in one skillet. Because I always eat eggs when my boyfriend works till 8 because I love them and he hates them!
  • The typical advise, drink a glass of water before and after each meal and often in between. I used to go out for a walk whenever I felt hungry. I would come back and find either I wasn't hungry anymore or I could now have a snack because I just earned some calories. Granted I would usuly walk for like an hour. A whole bag…

  • I just started this weekend! I really like Brett Larkins videos on YouTube. Brettlarkinyoga is her name thing. A friend of mine said too, pick one form you really want to be able to do well. That gives you a goal and makes it more personal.
  • Soup is the bomb. I like making a big pot of 16 bean soup, freezing it, then throwing in whatever extra I have when I reheat a serving. Crock pots and rice cookers are awesome also.
  • Whenever I need a filling low calorie meal I make an omelette. 3 whole large eggs, and even with cheese they clock in under 450 calories. As far as snacks go, popcorn. Unbuttered, with hot sauce. Cheap, filling, and as long as you go plain, low cal. Maybe try adding curry or old bay. Speaking of curry a whole sweet potato…
  • Sorry my app is being weird and I get rerouted when I try to click on someone's page. I can't add anyone, please add me. Thanks!
  • Great Point actually. I do try to do strength training about 4 times a week, but I have no idea what my body fat context is. Is there any way to figure this out without going to a doctor?
  • EVERYONE quick go watch Sword Art Online it will blow your minds. Any warhammer Horde players? Whose excited for the Elder Scrolls MMORPG? THIS GIRL.
  • Hotel! Front desk worker.
  • I think if you only shop the outer edges of grocery stores, then what you've avoided spending will equal out to what you've bought. No more chips or crackers (even the healthy ones) instead buy fruit and cheese and hummus to snack on. it'll equal out.
  • It's summer! Definitely walking! And this exercise I think called lunge raise. You stand with weights in your hands, elbows bent and at shoulder level. Drop into a lunge, then stand back up and raise your other legs knee and both arms up.
  • Put yourself in a situation where you HAVE to exercise. Have someone drop you off at work or school and walk home. Or walk somewhere and reward yourself when you get to the destination. I like to walk to a coffee shop and buy an iced coffee when I get there. walking for 30 minutes burns something like 140 calories. But you…
  • I also use it in place of pretty much everything. Mayo in salads, cream in pasta sauces, even milk and cereal. I use plain and mix it with nutella or peanut butter and omg its so good. Try going on pinterest and typing in Greek Yogurt and they will show you all the ways it can be used.

  • Thanks I was actually wondering about this too. I try to eat fruit every day, and just switched my tracker to look at sugar and WHOOPS, those cherries are chock full of it.
  • Everytime youre hungry go for a walk. You remove yourself from the food in your house, you get exersize, and if youre hungry when you get back you just burned some calories, have some hummus and veggies! However I usually find that when I get back I wasnt as hungry as I thought.
  • Kalamata olive (sp?) hummus, chipotle hummus, chocolate covered banana bites, any and all of their crackers, their salad dressings, their fruit leathers etc. anything. I usually just look at prices, and if its less than 1.99 I take a look at the product and usually end up picking it up.
  • Thanks everyone!
  • Say you are suppose to eat 1200 a day in order to follow the goals mfp set for you. If you set your goals to lose 1 pound a week, this 1200 limit is what you eat. Mfp estimated you eat like 1800 (or don't burn) calories a day. So it built in the deficit for you. If you work out and you burn 200 calories, your net is now…
  • Hi! I mainly use 5 pound weights and body resistance, working through all my muscle groups with 3 or 4 reps of 15 or 20. Will the 5 pound weight do anything? My next one up is 20. Should I increase my reps?
